After 5 decades of buying automobiles, I've Finally

Driven Away with Absolutely Everything Positive🎯 Lee's Summit Subaru and their salesman, Isaac Castro, intensely focused on what I and my wife "Had to Have", as well as our "Nice to Have" desires and Affordably Fulfilled Absolutely Everything🎯 They were Professional, Courteous, Prompt & Attentive to Every Detail, And to top it all off, GET THIS: The first time we drove out to their dealership was to Take Delivery of Exactly What We Needed & Wanted🎯 From my first new car purchase (Military in SouthEast Asia) in 1968 through dozens since, in every imaginable situation including being friends with dealership owners, buying several models of Chrysler, GM, Lincoln & Mercedes Benz upscale models, I never came close to such a successful purchase! Such a pleasant surprise in this day and age, that prior to calling Lee's Summit Subaru, we'd given up on finding any dealership that would even sincerely listen to us. Dealer after dealer, visit after visit, sure, they wanted the sale but Never Paid Attention - Every visit we'd have to reiterate every detail, most often to salespersons that too often didn't even know their products, trim levels & which options came with which models. Truly Pathetic! We even had a dealer rep accidentally trip the door alarm on one auto, and no one in the showroom could shut it off. All of this with a wife that could barely walk due to painful sciatica issues, but we endured six weeks of this before calling Lee's Summit Subaru's Isaac Castro - What A Relief, Even Though They're Nearly an Hour's Drive Away! Lee's Summit Subaru's Salesman, Extremely Knowledgeable, but Cared About Every Detailed Requirement We Had, Researched Everything They Had, then Everything On Order to Find Exactly What We Needed and Wanted🎯 Isaac Castro spent untold hours searching for Our Perfect Automobile, Found it in transit from Subaru, relayed spec after spec to ensure that it truly met our every desire, then laid out an acceptable "lockin deposit" plan, and coordinated getting it treated with a ceramic protective coating, all from our cozy family room. A few weeks later when it was ready for delivery, we made our first drive to Lee's Summit Subaru, met our newfound friend Isaac, test drove the new Forester, wrote the check and proudly drove off within a few hours of arrival. BY FAR, THE BEST CAR-BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER❣️!!!! That includes corporate buys from North Carolina to California, combined totalling dozens of vehicles! And even tops buys I made alongside the Advertising Agent (Hal Miller, personal friend) of the Balderston Group (70s & 80's). Yes, We Are Extremely Pleased with Our Experience With Lee's Summit Subaru!!!🎯❣️

Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership.

Sales process was very smooth but the issue was when it came to the inspection process. Within one day of taking the car home, I found that the front brake rotors were warped and that the front brake pads were cracked. We also found that the rear tires were worn severely and cupped. I attempted to work with the used car manager but he consistently wanted to tell me that it was against Missouri law for him to fix the items after I had signed the "WE OWE" document and those issues were not listed. The manager would not even pay attention and allow me to voice my concerns of the safety issue and attempt to come up with an amicable solution. He would not allow this customer to voice his concern properly. I strongly suggest that if anyone purchases a used vehicle from this establishment that you have it safety and operationally checked independently from their service department.

Called yesterday and something was wrong with their

phones and they kept cutting off the call. I called the service Dept and said I needed and new battery. That lady switched me to the parts Dept and the man said, uh yeah we have a battery for your car. I asked if they would install it and he said, uh yeah and switched me to service. Same lady as before. She put me on hold a couple of times and the said Di you have a 2011 Outback. I said yes. She said hold on. The came back and said they could install it tomorrow, would that work? I said no because it’s going to be about 7 degrees out/snowing. I told her that I had been a customer for years and I would get the battery elsewhere. They are so disorganized. They used to be a great place. Not sure what has happened but I will use a different dealership. By the way, I needed the battery today, not tomorrow.

salesperson who helped me was so patient and helpful . Her name is Alex and I would recommend her any day of the week. Great car even though I ran over a nail on the way out and had to go back and get a new tire. Most of all the people were honest. Shelley Rissien

I recently purchased a 2020 legacy from Lee’s Summit

Subaru and the sales person who helped me went above and beyond. Even after the sale he mailed some items to my home that I’d left in the vehicle that I traded. The negotiation process was respectful and I think I received a fair deal. I would recommend this dealership.

I am shopping for selected vehicle and this Dealership

had one on their lot and I contacted them via email. I am in San Antonio, Texas, so it wasn't possible for me to drive over to Lee's and take a look at the vehicle in question. The person I was contacted by answered all my questions and was very helpful. While was waiting for funding and purchase approval from my boss, the vehicle I had picked out was sold to someone else.

I attempted to purchase a new vehicle with this

dealership last year. They did not have any in stock at the time so I put down a deposit for one that was to arrive within a week. Come the guaranteed delivery date, the car doesn't show up and they refuse to do anything to find out about the status. The salesman I was working then started screening my calls and dodging me. Now 3 days later, still no sign of the car and they refuse to find out the status. I tell them to return the deposit which they refuse to do. They never contact me about the car arriving and sell it out from underneath me and try to keep my deposit. Luckily I made the deposit with a credit card, so had my CC issue a charge back without any problems. I left reviews elsewhere and the dealership just lies about the whole situation. Seriously do not shop here, this business is so dishonest and unethical.

I received a flyer in the mail from Lees Summit Subaru

advertising a full synthetic oil change for $64+. I called and they stated they serviced other cars such as my Ford Escape but that it would cost more since it’s not a Subaru. It was my understanding the price would be $71+. I also needed a 6th quart of oil at $9.50 a quart (5 quarts at the auto store is about $25.00). I received my bill for $100.00. I brought to their attention the coupon I presented upon arrival and they discounted $5.00 making my oil change $95.00. That’s highway robbery and way more than I expected. Looking at the itemized bill the separated-out labor cost at $26.00+parts, taxes, disposal fee. I was misled from the beginning. From the advertising mailer to the service writer. I will not be using this dealership for any service which is a shame because I was actually going to look at purchasing a Subaru. But not from this dealer. I hate being taken advantage of. Dishonest misleading business practices are an abhorrent deal breaker.

I would give negative stars if I could. I purchased my

2020 Forester last June in Washington state. This is my second Forester. The last one I had for 10 years and maintained it perfectly, every 30k major fluids changed, 120k timing belt, water pump, fluids and drive belts. ANYTHING that came up with my car I fixed it right away and at the dealership. So WHY tell you all this? Because this dealership is all about the bait and switch. I brought my 2020 in for an oil change after driving it across the country. The advisor told me my alignment was out and I needed a tire rotation. You get one complimentary alignment in your first 3/36 warranty. I did agree to the tire rotation because the higher tread was in the back. They charged me $30 for a tire rotation! That is absolutely a rip off. Most of the time an oil change will go through the quick lube size which the tech is paid an hourly rate, not flat rate which means he isn't making any more money for doing it. Lets just say that a flat rate tech did my oil change because there was the alignment as well... my car was already in the air and my wheels should have already been off to check the brakes properly. Even if my wheels weren't off a flat rate tech should not have to put $30 worth of effort into moving tires. ALSO, the advisor did not mention it was a $30 charge for a TIRE ROTATION. Let's think about this.... the minimum wage in Missouri is $8.60 this oil change would is worth 3.5 hours of work? How in the heck does this add up? I come from the dealership world. This is extremely disheartening and this is why people do not trust dealerships. My apple car is not working on my $36,000 car. I called to make an appointment because this is an on going issue. The woman I spoke with told me she would charge me for a rental if it was within my warranty? I am within my 3/36 and I know its a car issue. I have no other signs of any type of damage (rodent or otherwise). THIS DEALERSHIP WILL TAKE ALL THEY CAN GET FROM YOU! GO TO OLATHE SUBARU! I am a key toss customer that trusts her advisor and I pay to fix and maintain my car. Unfortunately, this dealership just lost a customer.

Do not have your Subaru serviced here!! My experience

with Lee's Summit Subaru was one of the worst experiences of my life. Long story short. I had my 2011 Subaru Outback taken to this dealership for repairs. My engine was overheating. They had my car for a week, I had to call almost everyday to figure out where they were at with my repair. They had replaced my timing belt, water pump, head gaskets, etc $3000. Sucks but I needed it repaired. Thought I would have a brand new car essentially with how much was done to it. Car didn't feel right when I got it back. So, 2000 miles later I am stranded on the side of the road, engine shaking. Took my subaru back to dealership where they said I needed new heads, repair is $4000. Uhh what. I just had my head gaskets replaced and what not. Was told this new problem had nothing to do with the repair two months ago. Took to another shop where they said that it was in fact due to something Subaru had done improperly. I contacted them to see if they would fix what they broke and nothing. Please do not use this dealership for repairs! Coming from and honest hard working woman!

Smooth and easy. Did most of it online while

corresponding with Dylan Moore. They were fair on my trade and I had been shopping long enough to know the price was pretty good for my new toy. Even with the pandemic going on, Dylan was responsive and helpful in getting it done. The whole team was involved. Shout out to Erik over at LS Honda as well for pointing us in the right direction. Extremely long wait times staff has no idea what is going on

I dropped my care off first thing in the morning(7:30) for a scheduled appointment to have a clutch problem fixed. I thought it was strange that I had not heard anything from the dealership by 2pm so I called to see if there was some problem. The tech told me that no one had even looked at my car yet and that they were not sure if anyone would get to it today. I asked why I had not been advised that no one was available to look at my car and why they were scheduling appointments if no one was available, he just stated that they were busy. I told them to get my car ready that I was going to take it to another shop. I picked up my vehicle and there was quite a bit of confusion about where it was and it took a few minutes to track down anyone who knew anything about it even though I had just talked to the tech about 10 minutes prior on the phone. The paperwork stated that hey had done a multi-point inspection, changed the oil and identified brake wear but had nothing about the clutch problem other than a note to check it. I asked to talk to the manager and he was very unhelpful and just stated again that they were busy and that if i wanted to leave it they might still be able to get to it at some point later in the day but made no promises. I asked why all the service that i had not even asked for had been done and why the problem i brought it in for was not address and he had no answer other than some other type of tech does those things and that they were unrelated. I asked if it was normal to take an entire day just to have a tech look at a vehicle that had a know problem and he once again stated that they were busy and that there was nothing he could do about it. The manager made no attempt to make things right or to even apologize for wasting an entire day of my time. I would avoid this dealership in the future it is very unprofessional and bordering on dishonest and untrustworthy.

above and beyond

I had a wonderful experience with LS Subaru. I came from Lawrence, KS because I was looking specifically for a used Outback, and pickings were slim in LFK. Paul Sergeant worked with me for a long time, he was patient, and polite, letting me spend as much time as I needed to look over several cars. He also worked to get a price that was fair, which was what I had budgeted into my monthly expenses. Finally, I accidentally left something hanging from the rear view mirror of my old car, and he grabbed it, and told me he'd mail it back. Very great experience, probably the best I've had at a car dealership.

Disrespectful, Uniformed, and Incompetent

What a total waste of time and energy--especially when you don't even get the work that you were promised. I'd brought my car into this location awhile back for an oil change and decided to get an interior detail. As soon as I got in the car and pulled down the visor, it was covered in dirt. Then I opened the console, also covered in dirt. I made a yelp review at that time and the owner offered to top off my gas the next time I was in, so I STUPIDLY removed the Yelp review. On 2/27/2019, I went in for an oil change and concerns related to my undercarriage and tires due to driving through a crater on Ward Parkway. They found much damage to my vehicle, and suggested I needed to replace my fender liners, sway bar links, transcooler lines, and inner axle seals. They also mentioned my battery was getting low. It was late when I was there, and they did not have the parts I needed in stock. We agreed they would place the order and call me back. The next morning, conveniently and totally coincidentally, I am sure, my battery was dead. IT IS NOW ONE MONTH AND ONE DAY since I took my car in, and I have RECEIVED ZERO FOLLOW-UP. They did not call about my ordered parts or when I can come in. Apparently, I am supposed to drive in a compromised vehicle, and apparently they are so flush they do not need to conduct actual business. 1) Advice: DO NOT EVER COME HERE!! 2) Question: DOES ANYONE HAVE A CAR REPAIR SHOP THAT IS RELIABLE??? The response provided thus far was a private, rude, and unhelpful message sent to me by Jason Brink.

Disrespectful during negotiations

Sales called me from Lee's SUmmit Subaru and asked me what pricing we already got from competing dealers in the area. I gave them the price. They come back with something over $2000 over the price I already gave them in a separate follow up call. I tell them I have heard both from friends and also members of the online community (along with this site) that the dealership can be bad on price and not friendly to negotiate, and how this clearly demonstrated that. They rudely finished the call with me, and frankly that is just disrespectful. Car salespeople should already be trained with a thicker skin and more calm than the folks at this dealership. Also Sales Manager Jason clearly is not a guy who budges on price. His price offered was not even close to initial online pricing provided by the other KC dealers. Either side can be unhappy during any negotiation process, but you have to understand where the customer is coming from if your price is almost 10%/$2500 over what they asked.

Wonderful Experience

I was awarded a car by a charity, and my first stop was Lees Summit Subaru. I was looking for a Subaru, but unfortunately the charity was too strict on gas mileage requirements and a Subaru, though built to last a long time, were rarely sold at the dealer used under the 65k limit set by the charity. They offered a used 2015 Honda Civic, with 44k miles. They even lowered the price to meet the amount set by the charity. Perfect! It was more than I could have asked for! I looked many places, and finally returned to Lees Summit Subaru for the best deal I had found. They worked with the charity, and within a week I drove off with a wonderful new car. I love it, and had such a great experience working with everyone at Subaru.

Excellent Buying Experience

My excellent buying experience last weekend began with a sales person, Liz Myers, at Lee's Summit Subaru (LSS). As a St. Louis, Mo resident who had haggled back and forth with dealerships in my area, I asked Liz if her dealership could make it worth my while to travel across the state to buy the 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6R from her dealership. Liz offered me a GREAT DEAL below my lowest St. Louis offer, picked me up at the Amtrak station in Lee's Summit, had all the paperwork in order with our agreed-to price, and provided straight forward answers to all my questions from the car's features, warranty, and Subaru's financing. I HIGHLY recommend you give Lee's Summit Subaru a chance to make your next car buying experience excellent. Just ask for "Liz".

Nice experience

Just bought my second Subaru. Traded my Forester for an Impreza some days ago. I had some issues with the service before and I had some reservations to come back there, but after being contacted by email by Lyz Myers offering a pay less program I went. No regrets. Since first moment I was treated with professionalism and felt like family. No pressures, no lies, no games. Very friendly and she gave me was she promised. At the end we bought 2 Subaru. An Impreza and a crosstrek. We are very happy with them . Not forgetting to mention the five star follow up by nic Barnes . He has all the patient and knowledge for set up and teach you very easy all the features . The financial person was very helpful and trustworthy. Thank you very much. We are happy customers again.

Could care less

We were looking for a new Forrester or Outback and stopped there for the first time. Looked around the lot for approximately 15 minutes and had no salesman come out which I didn't mind, but what got me was when we went into the showroom, no one greeted us. We sat in the showroom Forrester and Outback and looked over the other vehicles and no one moved out of their cubicles. We will not be buying there

Not satisfied

Stopped in for an oil change and they had sign posted for free alignment check. They said with the oil change and alignment would take about an hour if they had to adjust anything and would be an extra $109 if any adjustments were made. The timing wasn’t far off I think I was out in an hour and 20 minutes. The irritating part was when they charged me $109 for an alignment that WASN’T needed. They gave me the print out of before and after alignment and everything was green in the before (which means it is within spec) and green in the after. The only adjustment made was a slight toe in on passenger side. When questioned their stance was “we made an adjustment”. It didn’t matter that it wasn’t needed but the adjustment was made and I had to pay. They offered me a “wild card” discount and said they would take $15 off of which I said I didn’t want I just wouldn’t return. Upon leaving I started looking over the “inspection” report they fill out while doing an oil change and found a lot of information on it that was incorrect like the tread depth was 10/32 on all four tires which the rear tires have 35,000 miles and the front have 5,000 miles so unlikely. The brakes were marked as 8mm thick on front and 6mm on rear. The indicator has been rubbing for probably at least a month now so that’s probably inaccurate also. They said they added antifreeze but it was above full when I arrived so I’m thinking that didn’t happen either. Bottom line I feel like I paid for quality service but didn’t receive it.

Waste of time.

Put down a deposit for a car after negotiating a price and options -- they agreed to match another quote. One month later they had the vehicle and told me I could come down and pay for it. Vehicle they were trying to sell me didn't have any of the extra options I negotiated on the spec/pricing sheet. (around 1000$ in options extra) The salesman then disappeared into the management office for 10 minutes and came back stating that this was "normal" (????) and the parts were on backorder. They never mentioned this until I asked. Cancelled the deal and walked out. Overall a complete waste of my time. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they made a bunch of mistakes here due to time pressure or this was a large misunderstanding, but we had a negotiated price and options list clearly confirmed via e-mail. Salesman claimed he was unaware of this negotiation/e-mail. If you're going to deliver a different car than requested, you need to confirm that with the customer. No apologies from them but they did refund my deposit without complaint. I will avoid this dealership in the future. Left a very bad taste in my mouth regarding the entire Subaru brand.

What A Relief

I hate looking for a new car! Especially when I have to do it on my own, no one to bounce information off of or get opinions from. Car sells men/women are know to be the quit savvy with their words and your BFF until you take the keys and drive off, right? Well let me tell you I met the one and maybe only car salesman that does not measure up to are preconceived notions. I drove 45 minutes out of my way to meet with this wonderful man. He took me under his wing even though he is old enough to be my son and walked that lot over and over until we came up with the right car "Legacy" and he fought to get me the right price. I feel like I made the deal of the century at Lee's Summit Subaru with Cameron Smith. I bought the car in late September and still call, email him with questions and he is still my friend even though I have long since driving the car off the lot, I will never hate looking for a new car again as long as Cameron and Subaru are I my corner.

True definition of dishonesty

We did a test drive at Lees Summit Subaru. Afterwards, we recieved lits of spam emails from the sales department. One, of which, advertised that they would beat any competitors price by $500, if they had the vehicle in stock. I checked thier online inventory, and confirmed that they did have the car in stock. I contacted Daniel via email, and asked him if they would honor the offer they advertised in the ad. He responded"absolutely". I was contacted by Beth the next morning, who verbally confirmed the deal and asked when I could come in. I was not in town, so I set an appointment for the following Friday. During the time between my correspondence with Lees Summit Subaru, and my appointment, the matching car fron thier online inventory was removed. I arrived at the time of my appointment. I had to get another emoloyee to find Daniel. Daniel did not have any paperwork prepaired. He then went to his sales manager, and came back with the EXACT offer I asked him to beat, and even had the audacity to tell me the $500 off the quote was applied. When I pointed out to hin it was not, he acted surprised and went back to his sales manager. Daniel then informed us they could not honor the verbal agreement because the car was not in stock. I got up and left. One week later I was contacted by Paul, the internet sales rep, and was asked how the numbers looked on the price they had offered. I informed him of what happened, that we had purchased a Subaru fron someone else, and that I would be posting my feedback on the internet.

Sell You a Car, than Ignore You

We purchased a 2016 Forester and went through all the steps required to buy the car. I explicitly stated what I wanted (which was not to be goaded into buying all the "extras" the finance people want to sell you) and said what I wanted in the deal. Got the usual run around that we would still have to sit down with finance, and as expected, got the hard sell on buying an extended warranty. I stated I didn't like what was going on, left to cool off and came back to the dealership. Talked to the salesman and sales manager, who gave lip service to what had happened, then sent me back in the the finance guy who all of a sudden cut the warranty down to less than half his original offer. My biggest complaint with this dealership is no one EVER returns phone calls, unless you become a pest. I'm still looking for the paperwork that further explains the warranty. Very poor follow through!!

Inept from top to bottom

Before I explain my experience with Lee Summit Subaru of Kansas City let me first tell you the circumstances of our situation. A situation which we explained very clearly to the people we dealt with at the dealership. My wife is in the army and was stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She had just gotten her orders and was to report to Fort Drum, NY in just under two weeks from the day we set foot in the dealership. At that point we had not decided on whether or not to buy the car in Kansas or wait until later. The Lee Summit dealership happened to have exactly the car we were looking for on the lot and offered us a reasonably good deal. We were aware that there had been a recall on the 2016 Outbacks that we were looking at but were told by the salesman that this one had not been subject to the recall. This is the series of events that followed; Literally moments after we finished signing the paperwork that gave us possession of the car the salesman came into the finance office and informed us that he had just run the VIN again and that the car was in fact due to be repaired for the recall issue. We asked how long that takes and he said that the repair takes about an hour, which would have been fine. He then says that they don’t have the parts on hand and they are waiting for a shipment any day now. We say OK, when can we have our car? Because, as we told him, we are on a somewhat tight schedule though we could wait a few days. He said he would let me know the next day. I got no call. I got no call the day after that either, so I called him and he said they still didn’t have the parts but he would let me know. I waited another day and a half and received no call. So I called but couldn’t get him on the phone so the receptionist put me through to the repair department. They told me that they had no record of my car, had no idea what I was talking about. After putting me on hold and presumably going and finding someone in sales he told me that they had parts for some cars but that we were 13th in line for the repair and they didn’t have that many parts on hand and wasn’t sure when they would get more. I waited another day and called back, this time talking to the sales manager and told him that if we didn’t have our car that we were going to have to drive the loaner to NY and possibly to WA since my wife was immediately deploying and I was going to WA for the summer. I really didn’t want to drive the loaner and deal with whatever complications that would entail. It seemed logical to me that since everyone whose car was in line for the recall also had a loaner that they would not be too put out if they bumped us up in line because of the circumstances. That didn’t happen and we ended up having to drive the loaner to NY. Eventually, and after several more phone calls that I had to make to the Sales Manager rather than him keeping us informed, our car was ready to be shipped. At this point he basically washed his hands of the situation, telling me that he had handed off the information to the shipping company and to just deal with them. The shipping company told me we would have the car in about three days which was reasonable. Three days later I hadn’t heard anything so I called and they said that they hadn’t even picked the car up yet. Once they did finally ship the car the person in charge of the company told me he had no idea where the car was or when it would be delivered and gave me the number of the driver. He also initially said that they would drop our car off one day and send a different driver to pick up the loaner. This made no sense for several reasons, but eventually they worked it out. The driver was the only person in this whole process who was remotely helpful and responsive. He said that he didn’t know why they had told me three days back then but that it would still be several days before he made it to us and that he would try to arrange his schedule to get it there quicker and keep us up to date, both of which he did and I greatly appreciated. So in all, once we finally did get our car, it had been over a month since we had purchased it. Which means that the temporary tag had expired. Which leads me to another detail: apparently we had failed to initial something on the original paperwork which was something the sales department needed. To register the car we needed the certificate of origin which the dealership didn’t have but knew we needed before we left their shop. They overnighted the paperwork to be initialed but neglected to send the certificate of origin. So that was a couple more days of waiting before we could register the car. In the meantime it was time for her to deploy and for me to drive cross country. Without plates. Thankfully the delivery driver suggested putting the dealer plates from the loaner car on until we got the official ones. Moving, preparing for deployment and buying a new car are all stressful events on their own. Doing them all at once even more so, but under normal circumstances it wouldn’t be so bad. The Lee Summit dealership made this process immeasurably more stressful, frustrating and difficult through what seems to be ineptitude at every level. This whole situation could have been avoided by simply bumping us up in line for repair. I would have had very little effect on the other customers who live in the area and had loaner cars. I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that we don’t live in that area and have to deal with them any further. We love our new car, now that we finally have it, but would never recommend anyone purchase a car from that dealership.

Needed a car with A/C quick

We had been looking for just a week for a reasonable priced car that was reliable and with low milage. Once we found it online we did our research and then headed to the dealership. The Steve with sales was great. Brought the car out for us to look at and we did a quick test drive. The price was right in our budget and with the car still under warranty we knew it was the one we wanted. We went to talk with Johnny in Financing and he was able to get the monthly payments in our budget. It was the best experience I've had at a dealership. I will defiantly be coming back when we are ready for a new car.

Sales and service is great. Be cautious with finance departm

I purchased a vehicle from this dealer in 2013 and had a great experience with the sales and service team. We recently had a problem with our Forester and the service team diagnosed and fixed the problem within 15 min of us being there. Love Subaru!

The manager was very rude and disrespectful to customer.

They beg the customer to come and see the car. When the customer is there, they make the customer wait and When it was time to offer the price the manager was horribly disrespectful to the customer. I would never go back back there nor recommend my friends and families.

God awful customer service/sales (disrespectful)

Went in to talk about a used car they had advertised, took a test drive, then sat down and told the salesman our price target. I was then immediately introduced to "Manager" Jason, who proceeded to try and teach me about car loan calculators like I'm an eighth grader. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go here, avoid this dealership at all costs.

Good Buying Experience

I have purchased 2 new cars from Lee's Summit Subaru this year. the first one was a Crosstrek in March and a WRX STi in November. On both occasions i shopped around and did research online to see what is a good price and contacted all the local dealerships around town. On both occasions my salesman, Steve Gove was able to find me the best price as well as the color/trim i asked for for the price i wanted to pay. Having bad experiences with typical car sales people that are super pushy and calls you all day and ask you to put money down for a car. Steve was a very calm, friendly and non pushy sales person. They were also able to give me the best price for my trade in (went to Carmax, another Subaru dealer and LS Subaru). I am a happy customer and any future Honda/Toyota/Subaru purchases i will be going to these guys

Best Service Ever

Terry and everyone else in the service department are knowledgeable, friendly, fast and accurate. I have never been approached about buying extra parts or services I don't need. They have even helped me install a couple of accessories at no charge. I trust them implicitly and would (and have) recommend them to anyone. Besides, who else will do a free car wash--everyday if you want one.

Lack of respect

If you want to be insulted and judged from the moment you walk into an establishment, please visit Lee's Summit Subaru. I can think of several better places to go to be treated poorly and made felt as though I was inferior than LS Subaru. I would avoid this dealership like the plague! On second thought, I would avoid it worse than the plague!

Horrible dealership, horrible management. I found a crack

in my bumper the very next day after purchasing a new 2014 Subaru. They blamed it on ME even though it had blue material stuck in the crack from THEIR car wash. Buy a car somewhere else unless you like to be treated badly.

This business is deceitful and manipulative. They lied to

my husband about the price he would be charged for an additional service to our Impreza, and did an incomplete job changing our transmission fluid, despite our request. We will never do business here again and will be warning everyone we know of their dishonest business practices and general lack of integrity. We expected to pay more for service at a dealership, but we did not expect to be lied to, to our faces. This type of behavior is just unacceptable; hopefully the internet age can help prevent it from happening to others. There are other service departments who would never act this way - don't give your money to crooks!

Bought my first new car in 1986 - it's still being

driven by a family member. The vehicle was everything I wanted at the time but the buying process was not great. Fast forward to 2013, my experience with Lee's Summit Subaru has been great from first visit, where all questions were answered, til delivery of my Subaru a couple of weeks ago. The Sales Rep who inspired my confidence from the outset was Tim Stillings. The test drive we took in June in a 2013 was enough to let me know this was the model for me. As I wanted a 2014, I had a few months to wait. He answered every subsequent query I had regarding the company, the vehicle, options, accessories, service, etc. He assisted me in ordering the perfect ride for my life style. Greg, the Sales Manager, phoned to make himself available for any needs that might arise. Courtney greeted me when I stopped by once with yet another question and she was the one who graciously fascilitated delivery of my vehicle when Tim was out and did not want me to wait. Travis explained all options for extra coverage that interested me, all very low-key and no pressure. Terry in Service got me in right away for purchased options to be done, where Nate and John were very helpful. And free washes from now on. I know I received good value for my dollars, I love driving my XV Crosstrek and look forward to continued service from the wonderful team assembled at Lee's Summit Subaru!

I had a terrible experience at the Lee's Summit

Subaru dealership last night working with Patrick Sweeney and his co-worker. My test drive was great and our exchange started off good but things went downhill fast when I asked for a written car price. He and his co-worker said they couldn't give a price unless I was buying a car that day. How is a consumer to shop for the best price if a dealership is not willing to give a firm price? At one point, I was smiling with a confused look when Patrick said "what are you smiling about?” I replied “I can't believe a dealership can’t give me a firm written price on a car.” I then said I think I need to go because this is getting very frustrating and he replied “YOU SURE DO.” It’s at that point I asked him for a business card which he refused to give me but verbally told me his name. During our exchange, Patrick even accused me of trying to tell him how to run his business when all I wanted was a price! Very unprofessional - I will NEVER buy a vehicle from that dealership.

I had a very bad experience with Patrick at Lee Summit

Subaru. The dealership itself was clean and well stocked. Patrick and I discussed a price preliminarily over the phone on Friday (6/21) but didn’t finalize anything, and I really wasn’t interested at the price he was offering. I told him I was going out of town on Monday morning and wouldn’t be able to take any calls until the following Thursday or Friday (6/27-28) Monday (6/24) morning Patrick calls me, leaves a voicemail, as I was unable to answer, and asks if I can come by and pick up the car. I did not get a chance to call him back, and he proceeds to call me again the following morning and ask the same questions over voicemail. Later Tuesday evening, my wife informs me that someone from a car dealer called her place of work, asking the receptionist for my wife, and telling the receptionist it is an urgent personal financial issue with my wife and I, and our failure to pick up the car we purchased. My wife is a public CPA, and her cases, and professional work is confidential, so someone calling her office asking for her, and saying she is in financial trouble is a serious issue for her. When my wife informs me of this, she is upset that I gave the car dealer her offices main phone number. Thinking on this, I didn’t give Patrick her offices number, infact the only number I gave him was my cellphone. However our credit application contained the name of both my Wife’s and My employer, and my wife’s business’ office number is listed on their websites for clients to call. So with this, Patrick must have used our credit application to research my wife’s place of work and call her to harass her about the car. I find this to be very unprofessional, and against our privacy when filling out a credit application. My wife is still under pressure from her supervisor for a personal phone call on their main client number. I refused to purchase this vehicle strictly because of Patrick behavior. I would not recommend this dealer.

We've been snubbed three times now (even though

we're fully financed) at this dealership. Originally we went in to get our current Subaru serviced, and they were completely inept as to what we were looking for and whether they had it in stock (despite us BRINGING IN the part number!). Later, now that I'm looking to buy my Subaru, we walked in and told the receptionist that we wanted to look at the specific vehicle. 15 minutes later, and the sales rep in the building is still standing around looking at the ceiling. Very poor customer service. Before having a Subaru (when we were looking for my husband's car), we went there looking for the model we wanted, never got any attention. I'm never going back to Lee's Summit Subaru. Van Subaru and Olathe Subaru may be quite a drive from Lee's Summit, but at least they aren't jerks!
