For dealers

For Dealers

Effective July 10, 2026

In short

If you just found your dealership reviewed on Dealers Reviews, this page is for you. The short version: we are an independent, buyer-side review platform. You cannot pay us for placement, badges, better ratings, or review removal — at any price. Everything you can do here is free and always will be: respond to reviews, keep your details current, and dispute anything that's fake or factually wrong through an evidence-based process decided by a human.

What this site is — and what it isn't

Dealers Reviews is a US-based, independent consumer review platform. People who bought equipment, trucks, trailers, RVs, boats, powersports vehicles, cars, aircraft, or outdoor power gear — or who had them serviced — come here to say how a dealership actually treated them. We cover dealerships across the country and across categories, from heavy and farm equipment to auctions and remarketing.

Here's what we are not: we are not a marketplace, we don't sell your inventory, we don't sell leads, and we will never send you an invoice. There is no sales team, no 'premium dealer program,' and no subscription tier. Our loyalty is to the buyer reading the reviews — and honestly, that's better for good dealers too. A review platform that dealers can pay is a review platform nobody trusts, and a rating nobody trusts is worth nothing to you.

Every review on this site was written by a registered person, read by a human moderator before it published, and is limited to one review per person per dealership. Nothing auto-publishes.

The Independence Charter: you cannot pay us. Period.

Before anything else, read this, because it answers the question most dealers ask first.

You cannot pay Dealers Reviews for any of the following — not at any price, not through any partner, not ever:

  • Better placement or ranking on the site
  • Badges, endorsements, or 'certified dealer' labels
  • Changes to your star rating or per-criteria scores
  • Removal or suppression of a review
  • Early access to reviews before they publish

Why we won't take your money

This isn't a negotiating position, and it isn't us being difficult. It is the entire reason this site works. The moment one dealer can buy a better rating, every rating on the site becomes an ad, and the buyers stop coming — which makes the site useless to everyone, including you. Our full commitment is published at /our-promise.

One practical warning that follows from this: if anyone ever contacts you claiming they can improve your rating or remove reviews on Dealers Reviews for a fee, they do not work for us and they cannot deliver. Forward it to support@dealers-reviews.com.

How we keep the reviews honest

A no-pay policy only matters if the reviews themselves are trustworthy. Here is what stands between a bad actor and your public rating:

  • Human moderation, always: every single review is read by a human moderator before it publishes — typically within 1–2 days. Nothing goes live automatically.
  • One review per person per dealership: no pile-ons from a single account.
  • Anti-abuse records: we privately record the IP address and browser signature attached to each review. These are never published, but they help us catch coordinated or fraudulent submissions.
  • Verified badges backed by real paperwork: reviewers can privately upload a bill of sale or work order to earn a 'Verified purchase' or 'Verified service' badge. The document is seen only by a moderator, is never published, and is deleted after the decision. Only the badge remains.
  • Photo hygiene: all photos are moderated, and location/EXIF metadata is stripped automatically before publishing.

What you can do — free, forever

Independence cuts both ways: we won't take your money, and we won't charge you to participate either. Everything below is free and will stay free.

  • Claim your dealership profile (rolling out soon): verify you represent the dealership, then respond publicly to reviews under your dealership's name and keep your details — locations, hours, brands carried — current.
  • Respond to reviews (rolling out with dealer accounts): a calm, factual public response to a critical review often does more for your reputation than the review did against it. Buyers read responses.
  • Get notified of new reviews (rolling out with dealer accounts): know when something is said about your business without having to check.
  • Review-invite kit (coming soon): plain materials — a link, a QR code, a counter card — to ask your own customers to review you here.

If you invite reviews, know the FTC rules

Asking your customers for reviews is legal, encouraged, and how good dealerships build strong ratings. But the FTC has clear rules about how you do it, and violating them can cost you real money in federal penalties — entirely apart from anything we'd do. The rules, stated plainly:

  • Ask ALL your customers, not just the happy ones. Cherry-picking who gets asked skews the picture and is exactly what regulators look for.
  • Never 'gate' reviews: no screening customers first and steering only the satisfied ones to the public review page. If you ask, everyone gets the same link.
  • Never offer rewards, discounts, or anything of value in exchange for a positive review. Paying for positive reviews — in cash, coupons, or free oil changes — is illegal.
  • Never write or commission reviews of your own dealership, and never have employees or family post as customers.
  • Our own enforcement mirrors this: reviews that appear solicited-for-positivity or incentivized will be rejected in moderation or removed with a public record.

Disputing a review that's fake, not your customer, or factually wrong

Sometimes a review is genuinely wrong — the person was never your customer, they've confused you with another dealership, or the review states something factually false. There is a process for that, and it costs nothing.

How it works: email support@dealers-reviews.com from a dealership email address with (1) the dealership name and the review in question, (2) what specifically you believe is false or fraudulent, and (3) your evidence — for example, records showing no transaction with anyone matching the purchase details, or documentation contradicting a specific factual claim. We can't share the reviewer's private information with you, but we can and do check their claims against what you provide.

A human moderator reviews the evidence and decides. If the review comes down, it comes down with a public, dated record on your page explaining that a review was removed and why — the same transparency we apply to every removal. Nothing on this site quietly disappears, in either direction.

Two things a dispute is not: it is not a way to remove a review you simply disagree with — a genuine customer's harsh opinion stays up — and it is never resolved by payment. There is no fee to dispute, and no fee that would change the outcome.

Where things stand today

We'd rather be straight with you than oversell. Some dealer features on this page are live now; others are still rolling out.

Live today: human-moderated reviews, verified purchase/service badges, photo metadata stripping, public removal records, and the evidence-based dispute process (by email).

Rolling out soon: profile claiming, dealer accounts with public responses, new-review notifications, and the review-invite kit. If you'd like to be notified when claiming opens for your dealership, email support@dealers-reviews.com with your dealership name and location, and we'll put you on the list.

In the meantime, everything a dealer account will eventually handle — disputes, factual corrections to your listing, questions — works by email today: support@dealers-reviews.com.
