Subaru dealership last night working with Patrick Sweeney and his co-worker. My test drive was great and our exchange started off good but things went downhill fast when I asked for a written car price. He and his co-worker said they couldn't give a price unless I was buying a car that day. How is a consumer to shop for the best price if a dealership is not willing to give a firm price? At one point, I was smiling with a confused look when Patrick said "what are you smiling about?” I replied “I can't believe a dealership can’t give me a firm written price on a car.” I then said I think I need to go because this is getting very frustrating and he replied “YOU SURE DO.” It’s at that point I asked him for a business card which he refused to give me but verbally told me his name. During our exchange, Patrick even accused me of trying to tell him how to run his business when all I wanted was a price! Very unprofessional - I will NEVER buy a vehicle from that dealership.
