I have tried to get a sales rep this week to purchase a

car and had no luck what so ever. I was spoken rudely to by Alissa because I would not go with her because she didn't return my call. And she would not let me speak with another sales rep, she said they were all busy. So I guess I will go to Fort Wayne for a car. I will never recommend this dealership.

He was so helpful with the purchase of our Subaru. This is our second one so I think I'm a Subaru person. Thank you Steve.

Great service at Gurley Leep Subaru.

My husband bought a truck about a year ago with salesman Matt Darr and we were pleased, so I reached out to him when I was in the market for a new car. I had been looking for a Subaru and found one I loved right away. The process was overall very smooth and I’m loving my vehicle, a few weeks in! Matt Darr is a friendly guy, quick responses when I had a question, and very helpful!

I just picked up my 2015 Outback from having ball joint

replacement, CVT transmission service, and front and rear differential flush. My vehicle runs like new and has over 171K on it. The technician Marc Buchtel did a wonderful job. Curt Seufert the Service Advisor has great customer service skills. I was quoted $3426, however when I paid on-line (you cannot see the amount prior to paying - not so good) the bill was over $4500. I called and spoke with Curt and he immediately credited my account. The bill came to $3416 which was a little less than the estimate. I am very pleased with all of the employees that I have dealt with at Gurley Leep Subaru.

Awesome experience, Everyone was friendly, I came in

pre-approved, They were able to get a better rate for me. ) Purchased my first Subaru “outback” From a very knowledgeable salesman. Planned on ordering “2023” Cody gave me a call, sent pics, of a 2022 exactly what I wanted, fresh off the truck. Very happy with my Subaru OB. Highly recommend Cody Carlisle at Gurley Leep for your Next vehicle. Get you a Subaru, I’m glad I did!

Excellent service department 5 star!

I have always been treated great by Justin Neff, he was off on training this week and I was worried service wouldn’t be as stellar. Cynthia stepped in and things were just as perfect as always. I have vehicle they don’t even sell or service very often and there is BMW dealership in town but I’ll keep coming back here because of their employees. I don’t leave many reviews but gotta give credit where it’s due.

Do not return voicemails!

!! Door handle fell off within 2 weeks after purchase. Brakes feel like the are not there at times, bought the extended warranty. Ran our credit without our knowledge. We had a pre-approval from Capital One and made the appointment to see the car through them. We were never asked about running through a different bank. We knew we were using Capital One. Will never buy from there again.

Did I need it?

No. Did I want it? Of course! I certainly wasn’t looking for a new vehicle, but when my guy (Jonathon Coburn) reached out when I was on vacation and got my mind going, I thought about it a little more. When he got in touch with me at the beginning of the week, I told him my stipulations. I told him to work his magic and this is the outcome (2022 Subaru Ascent)!! I love it!! Drove off the lot with 7 miles! She’s a beauty! 😍 I’m not a shopper…I’m a minimalist, but I will definitely treat myself to a new vehicle! Now, I need to name her! ❤️

Arrive. Pawned off by two salesmen. 3rd says there’s NOTHING left. My offer still lists several available. We want an 8 passenger premium Ascent, 2021. We have a 2017 Forester to trade. Excellent credit. The salesman wants $500 to “look for a model. Vert very disappointed. Jake could have mentioned they go fast and we would have driven right over. Kirk totally blew us off.

Once upon a time. it was my pattern to take my Subaru

here. However, when my timing belt was changed, someone decided not to mention or change out my water pump. I lost my transmission thanks to Gurley Leep. They never even apologized at all. They just decided “those are the breaks” customer. How can we trust if the Dealership fails to do the proper work, does not review appropriate work, and just writes it off their mistakes on the customers?

Went in for an appointment and gypped me with alignment

by charging $139.95. Told the tech that in the TV SCREEN I SIDE THE WAITING ROOM says $90.00 how come the bill is $139.95. Tech says I DONT KNOW WHY. I looked at the tech and said again and tech is like “I can’t do anything, this is our price”. Just one wiper blade on passenger side costs $25.00. So much better to go inside the Subaru store and buy it yourself for just $15.00. This dealership is a rip-off and do not serve the customers with integrity and honesty. Be careful when taking your car for service. A complete rip-off place.

Took my wife's Subaru Outback in to investigate the

engine running rough and some weird transmission sounds when it was under load. Our mistake was we gave the service department a blank check - go fix whatever it is and let us know what the bill will be later. I've trusted past service managers I've worked with when I give them the carte blanche go-ahead. Unfortunately, Gurley Leep charged me $3k. "Okay, that's fine," I said to myself, "as long as the problem is fixed." As we were driving out of the lot, we noticed the exact same problems as what we came in with. We turned around and they said, "Oh, we didn't notice all THESE things that are also wrong with your vehicle. That will be another $3k." That first $3K was the only time in my life I had ever taken on credit card debt. I didn't feel like letting them screw us over again. So I sold the Subaru and my wife has been happily driving a Chevy ever since. Gates is way better. Either Gurley Leep is incompetent, dishonest or both. In any case, don't give them your business.

Worst service at a car dealership I've ever experienced.

Tried charging me several thousand dollars to repair something insisting I damaged the car. After questioning it, I was told by the service manager that they no longer were interested in servicing my vehicle. Took it to a different dealer and the car was repaired under warranty. What Gurley Leep was trying to say was damaged and causing the issue was determined to be a cosmetic issue and not related to the problem with the car.

Exceptional people

I was in an accident, I was traumatized to say the least. I couldn’t and didn’t drive for months. I knew that Subaru was a safe car but I still could take the next step. Long story short, through a series of events, I ended up with the sweetest gentleman of a sales rep, he gently guided me through the process, and essentially gave me back my life. I love my car, I love all the people at this dealership, and I will never go anywhere else

Outstanding Experience

I searched Subaru website for dealers within 100 miles of my home. I communicated with four dealers, the model, color and my trade. I visited the closest dealer to look at the OUTBACK LIMITED with option package 34. We negotiated what they said was their best offer. I then talked to the other three dealers, two of whom beat the nearby dealer by a considerable amount. One of these two seemed to be a bit wishy washy regarding my trade, but Rob Burns at Gurley Leep in Mishawaka, IN took my information, and texted me back within one hour of our original call and gave me a bottom line, out the door price including my trade that was the best offer, plus he's the only one of the four dealers that who actually seemed to really want my business!.. He didn't have my color, but said he could get the exact Outback in a few days, so I gave him my credit card deposit and he had the car the next day, a Wednesday. I drove 90 miles and closed the deal on Thursday. I would recommend Rob and Gurley Leep Subaru.

Unfortunately the only dealer in town

I have a 2010 Subaru Outback. Every single time I have taken it in for recall work, I receive an inspection report advising me that my vehicle needs $1,000+ of immediate work done. Several times I have taken these reports to another Subaru dealer if I happen to be in another town, or to a trusted mom and pop mechanic, and more than half the time the second opinion does not agree. Unfortunately they are the only dealer in town, and I would not buy another Subaru considering this. Stay away! They are swindlers.

Tire going flat again.

I got my tired repaired in September and the man who wrote it up followed me out to my care continuing to ask me to give him 5 stars. Then I went in today and the same tire went low on Monday during all that snow. I toke it to discount tire and they said there was only 22 psi in it while the other tires were just fine. He told me that it would be hour before I would get it fixed and that I had to make an appointment. It was the same person. He told me that as the weather get cold, the air leaves the tires. I explained that it was the same tire. I pointed to the tire but I said the right side. Smugly he said you are pointing to this tire and saying the right tire. I told him that it was the tire I was pointing at. He said well which one is it. He set me up with an appt for Tues. I do not know if I will go back there for this repair. I do not want him to "assist" me again. The man in September was Steven Gagyi.

Just Awful

We were in the market for a new car and wanted to test drive a Subaru Forester. I had gone on Gurley Leep's website and found a vehicle that had the options we were looking for and scheduled an appointment to come test drive it. When we showed up we should have known what we were in for and turned around and left right away! We pull up into a parking spot and there was a salesman at my door before I could even get it open! Made us feel uncomfortable. We told him we were here for an appointment with Talanda so he took us inside to 'go get her.' He came back about 5 minutes later and said she was busy and that he could help us. We told him what we were there for and he informed us that that vehicle was no longer available. Not a big issue since the biggest reason we were there was to test drive to see if it was what we actually wanted or not. He pulled around another vehicle and opened it all up for us to look at. The weather was not cooperating so we did not want to stand outside and look at the outside of the vehicle. (Mind you, we had been at other dealerships earlier in the day that showed us around the vehicle in the showroom before getting us in one to test drive. Makes a lot more sense when the weather sucks!) Anyways, we hopped in the vehicle and started to talk about its features and options and before you know it we are ready to start driving. I look in the rearview mirror and notice the back hatch is still open. I say something and my boyfriend ends up jumping out to shut it! The salesman did nothing! Not a big deal but still unprofessional! As we start driving the salesman continues to talk and tell us about the car which was fine until he starts reaching up from the backseat to show me buttons on the dash and steering wheel WHILE IM DRIVING!! So, first he was unbuckled which made me uncomfortable from the beginning but he was also distracting me while I was on a busy 4 lane street in a brand new car! Once we got back to the dealership he asked how we liked the vehicle and we actually really liked it. We sat down at his desk and he started pressuring us to buy the one we test drove. I firmly told him that vehicle did not have the options or color we were looking for and that if we were to move forward he would either have to order a vehicle or find it at another dealership and bring it there. He made it seem like that wasn't even an option! Either way we still liked the Forester and wanted to get numbers on it to compare to the other makes we were considering. When we asked to have out trade in appraised we were told the manager was too busy to do that unless we were ready to purchase today! He would not even haggle on the price with us either. He gave us the MSRP and told us when we were ready to purchase we could talk price! Unbelievable! As I have mentioned we had been to other dealerships who had given us appraisals on our trade along with discounted prices on the vehicle we were wanting to purchase! We left with absolutely nothing. The salesman did not even give us a card. To top all of this off, after we left I noticed I had an email from Talanda asking if we were still going to make it! This salesman obviously did not even talk to her before helping us! After driving many vehicles we decided a Subaru Forester would fit us the best. We ended up driving over an hour to Maple Hill Subaru in Kalamazoo Michigan just to avoid going back to Gurley Leep. Maple Hill is awesome to work with and I highly recommend them!

Overcharging after service contract expired.

I bought a 2016 Subaru from Gurley Leep Subaru and also purchased a three year service contract for it in case I pass away. In three years they changed oil and nothing else. On my last visit I came in for a recall and an oil change. I was told before the service that the service contract had expired. Told them that is fine and do the work. However I received a text advising my SUV needed a new battery, two different filters changed, and ext.. Not sure if I needed all of it but since I am not a mechanic and wanted the my SUV to be in great condition for fall and winter. I agreed to the work but I had no idea it would cost close to $700.00. In my opinion I felt I was taken advantage of after the service contract has expired. Why is the world didn't they do the work before the service contract expired? Felt cheated!

Recall Repair Experience

I am filing this to express my displeasure with my safety recall experience at Gurley Leep. My Subaru was subject to a brake light switch recall. After the initial switch replacement, the car started throwing numerous warning lights for systems that used the brake switch as input. I contacted Gurley Leep numerous times attempting to resolve the issue: 1) I called the Service Dept. and was told the person who originally handled the repair would call me back. I never received a call back. 2) I called a second time and was told no one could talk to me, but someone would call me back. I never received a call back. 3) I called a third time and was told no one could talk to me, but someone would call me back. I also scheduled an appointment to have the issue resolved. I never received a call back. 4) I arrived at my scheduled appointment only to be told they had no appointment on file. I asked to speak to the service manager and was told “he was not here today”. I asked when he would be in and was told the following Monday. 5) I returned to the dealership that Monday and asked to speak to the service manager and was again told that he “wasn’t here”. The staff also refused to tell me when he would return. 6) I left and returned to the dealership later that Monday and while I was wondering around the deserted service intake area an employee I had not interacted with before asked if I needed help. I recounted the previous five efforts to resolve the issue and asked to see the service manager. He was “in a meeting”… This employee did however offer to resolve the car if I could wait. I did wait and the switch was finally adjusted. So, for those keeping score, it took six interactions (and nearly a week) with this Dealership to get them to make a simple adjustment to the brake light switch and effect a correct recall repair. With the exception of number six above, their staff was uniformly indifferent to a degree that stopped just short of rudeness. They could not care less if the repair was incorrect. I also was never able to speak to the service manager. This is just not acceptable for any type of repair, let alone a safety recall.

Lacks integrity, honesty and competence

Gurley Leep Service Department in Mishawaka, IN, lacks integrity, honesty and competence. They spent 6 days trying to diagnose a defective power door switch, damaged the window motor and regulator, lied, and charged Subaru and me, over a thousand dollars for work done on damages they did to my daughter’s car. Additionally, most of the auto reviews I’ve seen for this Dealership, following my dealings with them, have them consistently rated poor. Even the Better Business Bureau has them rated F. If they are willing to cheat their own distributor, Subaru, I suspect they will not think twice about cheating you. I would never recommend them to anyone. Recently, I had my daughter bring her 2014 Legacy to the Gurley Leep Service department in Mishawaka, at the recommendation of Gates Toyota Service Department, because Gates could not fix the problem with the driver’s side door locking device, despite trying to replace the power door switch. To Gates’ tremendous credit, they recognized their limits & recommended that a certified Subaru Service Department diagnosis would be needed to resolve the problem & did not charge me for their effort. They provided me with information about what they did, indicating it was not a problem with the wiring or the driver’s power/window door switch. This information was shared with Steve Gagyi, service advisor at Gurley Leep Subaru, in hopes that it would expedite the diagnostic process. The Gurley Leep service department took 4 days and 2 different switches to decide it wasn’t the wiring or the switch that was the source of the problem (when it only took Gates half a day). As my daughter was leaving for college, the next morning, we could no longer leave the car to be further serviced. Steve reported to us that according to a master technician that the Main Body Control Panel (BCM) was the problem. Upon arriving home, my daughter discovered that the driver’s door window was now not working correctly. When we complained, Steve reported that they were not responsible, because it was the degrading BCM issue. Subaru Customer Retailer Services spoke to Gurley Leep’s service department, and informed me Subaru would cover half (about $500) of the cost of replacing the BCM, which I found to be generous, and a willingness to stand behind their product. The next time, my daughter was in town, the car was dropped off at to have the BCM replaced. At the end of the day, Steve reported that indeed the BCM was damaged, but now they needed another day to replace the regulator and motor for the driver side window and to revisit the wiring issue. I was surprised by this new development and asked why this was needed and who would be paying for these additional repairs. He reassured me that it wasn’t an issue and that Subaru was OK with these additions, and there should not be any additional cost to what was agreed on. I was, greatly surprised when we went to pick up the car the next day that the repair account statement did not reflect a replaced BCM. Instead it itemized the following: $348.25 for the regulator and Motor Assembly; $53 for the passenger door switch; $600 for labor & $79.93 misc. Of course I could not believe I was still charged $1,101.25 ($600 to me and $500 to Subaru). The actual invoice stated: “ Customer states replace BCM. A... at Subaru Handling case. Subaru to pay 500. Upon further diagnosis, found wiring issue that led to bad RF window switch. Replaced RF window switch and all functions normal.” Not even the mention of replacing driver side window regulator and motor that they damaged. When I contested this, Nate Johnson, the service manager, reported that this was the best they could do considering they did not damage the window motor assembly, and it just happen to fail, coincidentally, while they were working on that door panel for 4 days. Nate, the same person who implied I wasn’t looking out for my daughter’s safety by not getting the BCM replaced. He shared that the original technician was a level C, maybe B-, who initially worked on the car, before a level A technician was assigned. He acknowledged that the wiring wasn’t the problem, but made sure any loose wiring caused by all the tinkering, prodding and testing was tightened. He noted that the true fault lay in a dysfunctional passenger side door switch, that when replaced solved the issue. He blamed Subaru’s technical department for implicating the BCM as the culprit. He did not respond to why Steve led me to believe the BCM was damaged and replaced, and that Subaru was aware (when they weren’t) of the additional repairs. If they are willing to deceive their own distributor, Subaru, do you think they really care about you. I think not.

Dishonest

I took my car in for a regular service. The gentleman helping me had two options to choose. One was for regular driving and one was labeled severe. I drive about 10,000 miles per year, which is not severe. However, the severe cost was 500 more. When I questioned it, he did go to the regular. I felt that he was railroading me. The had to add some brake pads and quoted me the price. I went to get the car and the bill was almost 200 more. When I questioned it, the person helping me found that I had been charged twice for the pads and reduced the bill. The whole experience made me feel like I was being cheated. I called the manager and left a message with my email to respond to me. I never heard anything. Not only will I take my service work elsewhere, I will not buy another car from them either.

Charged $299 for theft prevent.

I was charged $299 for something I didn't want and the salesman, Nate Niswander, didn't mention it. $299 more than what he said. I purchase the car March 27, 2018 and still have the email from Nate in which he states the total price of the car plus tax, and government fees. I trusted him so when the papers were presented to me to sign, I did without reading them.

Lies from the onset

I originally called in to inquire about the price of a Subaru Outback. The salesman I spoke with gave me a what-seemed-reasonable price based on my online research. However, when I went in to test drive the vehicle, and began the negotiation process, the listed price was $2,000 more than what I was told on the phone. Now, the funny thing is, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED TO ME AT THIS DEALERSHIP. I had purchased an Outback in 2016, and at first I passed it off as human stupidity, but once lightning struck twice, I knew this one was of their sales tactics. I ended up buying my new Outback from My Auto Import Group in Muskegon Michigan. What a great experience!!!

Great at sweeping under rugs!

Refuse to take the steps required to properly diagnose and fix a problem. Dont waste your valuable warranty time by going here. If they arent smart enough to figure out the problem they just wont fix it. Factory warranty is worthless with these techs!

Management makes it right

I was charged $111 for three wiper blades. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told no. I will not be returning. UPDATE I was contacted by management the next day. They assured me that the overcharge was an honest mistake. They not only reimbursed the cost of the entire service charge but also offered another free service. They also took action to retrain the associate. The management obviously cares greatly and if there is ever a concern in the future I will insist on speaking with them because I believe they will do their best to make it right.

Gurley Leep Deceptive Practices

Gurley Leep will add 299.00 plus tax for theft prevention which you can deny. They still added it to my bill unbeknownst to me. I will never deal with them on a new car again. Love the car, but they are essentially shysters.

Unpleasant experience in shopping for new car

I test drove a Subaru Outback at Gurley Leep. The salesman, who has now left the firm, was pleasant but not completely knowledgeable about the Outback. As I was leaving soon for a trip, I made it clear that I was not purchasing until April. The salesman said that the sales manager wanted to talk to me but after he returned and no one showed up after 5 minutes; I asked if the manager was coming and the salesman then told me the manager was too busy. Okay.... I did return with my husband to make sure that the legroom in the Outback was adequate. At this second visit, the salesman offered to sell me the car on the lot (it did have the color & features I wanted) but to hold it on a down payment until I could return in April to complete the sale. He returned with the news that I had to pay in full for the car and provided a totally unacceptable quote. The price included extras (e.g the VIN etching at a several hundred dollar cost was "mandatory", the cargo net was included (I specifically did NOT want much less pay extra for it) along with numerous other extras) plus nothing off the MSRP. It came in higher by hundreds of dollars than was reasonable. Also, he could not let me take the quote. I left fairly disgusted with the process. I also checked with my insurance agent- the VIN etchings do NOT result in an insurance reduction and are NOT required - in fact she had never heard that before. VIN etching kits / services are available at costs of around $25 if theft is a concern. Upon returning from our trip, I traveled to Maple Hill Auto Group in Kalamazoo, Mi and purchased an incoming Subaru Outback in under 15 minutes. The salesman, Matt, was polite, truthful, and quick to give me a wonderful, reasonable price. No attempt to hard sell other "items" was made. The sales manager stepped in while Matt was filing out the papers to make sure that I was happy with the sales process and to thank me for coming into Maple Hill. I am happy with the price and believe that the service department will prove to be as professional. What a difference from Gurley Leep. My sister recently purchased a Subaru from Gurley Leep and had an unpleasant and expensive service experience recently. I have already told her to switch to Maple Hill.

Poor customer service for warranty claim.

I had very poor customer service during my experience. I’ve now owned a 2011 pre-owned certified Subaru Legacy for one year. Earlier this year I noticed a rust spot on my vehicle. I contacted Subaru of America and they directed me to my local dealer Gurley Leep. I called the dealer ahead of time to see if I needed to schedule an appointment. I was told no. I work 8-5 M-F, so it is not easy for me to make it to the service department hours of operation. Once I made it in, I was told that I had to have the parts manager inspect the vehicle (Nathan Johnson). This meant I did need to schedule an appointment. I’m a nice person so I understood that people can make mistakes and said ok that’s fine. However, during the next month I was completely ignored. I sent email, left voicemail and called multiple times during the day to get a hold of the manager. I even had one of the service department workers leave a written message on the manager’s desk to contact me. I have gotten zero responses from the dealership. My first attempt was June this past year. The next closest dealership is well over 100 miles away. I now have less than a year left on my warranty and little hope that I will be helped. I will say the employees did sound like they wanted to help me but their hands are tied by management. I would be embarrassed to run a business like this.

ServiceSeptember 2016

Horrible, rip off, time consuming, and incompetent.

Where to begin, First off they have the highest priced new and used cars around. It worth the drive to go somewhere else for the same car and save a minimum of a $1000.00 or more. The sales staff are idiots, rude, and they swarm you like seagulls and you are food. They are pushy and never get out of your way. Also they give you the lowest value for your trade possible. Trust me try a few other dealers and see what you get compared to gurely leep. Never give them your email address because they will never stop sending you stuff even though you requested to be taken off the list. The parts department could not get anything right. I have a 15 wrx and legacy and I asked for oil, filter, and o-ring for the drain plug. They gave me the wrong filter twice and failed to give me the o-ring when picked up the parts. I dropped my car off for warranty work and they had tried to trick me into paying for warranty work. I also over heard a service adviser try and push service repairs on an elderly gentleman. The adviser was lie and telling the man that he needed the work done. I stepped in to be an advocate for the gentleman. BTW I am an auto mechanic. I told the service person he was wrong and I told the older man to take it and get a second opinion before he shells out about $5000.00 for unneeded repairs. When I picked my car up, they said they fixed most of my concerns but nothing was fixed. They said they greased my brake calipers and said that fixed my rear suspension knock. xxx. Anyways they said they fixed stuff that was flat out a lie and lied about the parts on my car they fixed. They stated parts that did not even exist. I would never suggest anyone go to gurley leep for anything even if they are convenient.

Mechanics work on commission

We had service done to my wife’s Hyundai at Gurley Leep but when I picked her car up the mechanic had done some additional work to the vehicle (front brakes) that I did not authorize and that I saw no evidence of wear; he claimed he adjusted the prices on other items so the work came at “no additional cost.” When I got home I looked up a quote I had earlier from Gurley Leep for the exact same service and noticed I was charged DOUBLE the amount. I realized at that point I had actually been charged for the unauthorized work and then some. I stopped by the service department to personally discuss this issue with the service manager. He said he would look into the problem and “make it right.” He did mention the mechanics work on commission so I suspected this was a reoccurring issue at Gurley Leep. I never heard back from the service manager and stopped by again, he said he would look into it but, again, never got back with me. I then filed a report with the BBB and the same manager responded through this venue, refusing to address why I was charged twice the amount of the quote. He only offered a discount on future service to the vehicle which does not resolve the issue of being lied to and cheated. I contacted Hyundai directly and they attempted to help me resolve the issue. They contacted Gurley Leep on our behalf and told us this service manager would call back to resolve the issue. It has been two months and he still has not contacted me. I don’t know if our next step should be to try and talk directly with the owner or what, but I plan to get this resolved somehow. There is just no excuse for not calling a customer back or allowing them to be cheated by their own mechanics.

Service Issue

My daughter brought her 2004 Subaru Legacy into Gurly Leep for an oil change and a head lamp replacement. We bought this car from the original owner just a few months ago - we had ALL the Subaru dealer service records - every 3000 miles like clockwork and a CARFAX to match. This was THE little old lady car. We had the car checked out prior to purchasing, specifically looking at the head gasket since these are known issues with older cars. It came with a clean bill of health. My daughter drove the car 4000 miles when she went to Curly Leep for an oil change. They called her and told her she needed a head gasket repair and it would be $2330. She told them she had to speak with us and get her finances in order. At that time, the service manager also informed her, her fluids needed to be topped up, she said go ahead. Expecting a $100 service bill, when she picked up the vehicle they had FLUSHED her transmissions, Power Steering, Brake Fluid ( which was previously done 11K miles previous) and her front and rear differential and the bill was almost $800. She would never have approved such an expensive repair without speaking with us. Of course, the service manager insists he gave her a breakdown of each cost. Absolutely NOT. The offered a $275 refund check, I asked for another $130 for the brake fluid work that didn't need to be done - and was told no. So we take further action. The next morning she took the car to the mechanic that serviced her previous vehicle and he concluded that this car did NOT need a head gasket repair. Would love to hear from others who have similar stories - we will be taking further action. Please comment here as we will be checking back. Thank you

We were looking for a used vehicle because one of our

main vehicles finally give up on us. The call was made to Gurley Leep because of their advertised guaranteed credit approval. We talked with Rob Burns. We explained our credit situation and the vehicle we had in mind. Rob was successful in finding the correct vehicle for us and the price and financing was on the money. When we showed up at the dealership to see what Rob had picked for us, we were pleased. Because Rob showed such professionalism and friendliness, the transaction was completed in a very timely manner, and in a short period of time, we were driving off the lot with our new, used vehicle. A big thumbs up to Gurley Leep and Rob Burns for a job well done!

Worst experience ever. I went in to test drive a Subaru

Crosstrek and said I would be back at the end of the month to buy one. The salesman never called me over the course of the three weeks. The only contact we had was me initiating the calls to talk to him. He wasn't upfront and clearly didn't listen to what I was saying. About a week before, I called him to touch base and told him I would be in that Saturday so I could build one. At this point, besides him not being proactive, everything was okay. I called him the day before just to confirm I'd be in to be in the following day and he said that everything was good to go. About two minutes later I received at TEXT from him saying "Can you come in next week after Labor Day??". I was shocked to a) get a text message - very unprofessional and b) what kind of salesman doesn't want to sell a car asap? Why would I want to wait longer when I'm ready to buy it? I didn't respond to his text message so he called me back shortly after and told me it wasn't possible to build a car on a Saturday. He thought I was waiting for him to find one that was already built even thought I was very clear that I wanted to build it and have it shipped even if it meant waiting a couple of months. On the phone, I explained to him that we had already gone over all of this and he told me it was okay to build one that day. He then started to argue with me and told me I was wrong and that's not what we talked about. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. I will never go back or recommend it to anyone. If this guy worked for me I would've fired him a long time ago.

Other than the price being high (which I figured out

later through shopping around), working with Gurley Leep Subaru was not a bad experience. I initially worked with Leslie Altimus, who was great. After driving two hours to test drive a new car, I was handed off to Jim Yoshizawa. Regardless of telling Jim I wasn't buying that day, he still tried for over a half hour to reel me in. I told him I wanted to wait another two months to get some more money for a down payment and finally got out of there. A couple weeks later, Jim asked me to fill out an application for financing. He got it approved before I even finished it (fishy) and told me to come in the next morning because he got the car into my budget. When I asked the price of the car and the terms of the loan, Jim said he couldn't tell me. Wait... You want me to drop almost 30 grand but you can't give me the details of this "great deal" you set up for me? I emailed Jim the next morning and told him I was going to stick to my plan and timeframe of purchasing. I got a one-line response from him: "Whatever dude the car sold this morning anyhow." Classy response from a classy salesman. I was sure to email my experience to the sales manager and, of course, never got a response. I ended up purchasing in Cincinnati and between the better price I got, matched with the extra money I had saved, I bought a car two trim levels higher. I'm glad a respectful saleswoman got my money from the sale instead of Jim.
