Newbold BMW

weeks ago I encountered a company that deserves much praise, namely Newbold BMW of O’Fallon, IL, near St. Louis. For some time, I had been in the market for a late model Mazda MX-5 (or Miata), and after contacting several dealerships, I found that Newbold had one in my price range. My first contact with Newbold was on line, and I asked for an “out-the-door” price for the car. Almost immediately I received a reply from salesman Joseph Krick which was both responsive to my query as well as honest. By honest, I mean there were no “add-ons” that raised the price beyond the advertised price, which is unfortunately the practice of several dealers I spoke to. Mr. Krick’s e-mail was polite and not at all pushy, Perhaps a week later, I contacted Mr. Krick with my “asks,” namely (1) to deliver the car to my house (about two hours north of them), (2) to have the car inspected (at my cost, of course), and (3) to take the price down a little. Again, to my surprise, Mr. Krick answered ALL my “asks” to my complete satisfaction. The car passed inspection with nothing noted as problematic, and when we agreed on a price, Mr. Krick personally had the car delivered to my home by a dealership detail man. Another happy surprise was seeing that Mr. Krick had not just ordered but even installed my new license plates on the car. Mr. Krick told me he started out in car sales with Rolls Royce, and he certainly made me feel like royalty even with my relatively small purchase. This is a commendation both to Mr. Krick as a human being and professional, and also to Newbold for keeping him on staff. If I ever go looking again for a car, I will certainly contact Mr. Krick and Newbold before I make a purchase. Their honesty, sense of fair play, and willingness to accommodate is way beyond the norm and, in my mind, sets them apart. Accordingly, I take this opportunity to publicly thank them and to commend them to anyone in the market.

many problems with a car before (including used ones). The steering was a problem from day one. All the unwanted and useless accessories that made driving more difficult. Was not told that I bought a sports car. Bought a new 2021 330i. Biggest mistake I ever made (car wise). Will never own another BMW. Kept it for only 30 days. Couldn't take is any longer. Was very very lucky to be able to get my old car back. Which is far far superior to the BMW.

His demeanor is very calm and relaxed. He is perfectly suited for giving instruction/training. He really seems to know the cars inside and out! Carlos also helped me with floor matt considerations and window tinting.

While this service level of service may be standard here, I had a much less positive experience a few months back at another dealership in the St. Louis area that I will not throw under the bus. The service department has been taking care of my Z3 roadster for several years now. Always fixed right the first time at a reasonable price. The parts department has always been helpful and friendly. When it came time to purchase a new car, I met with Chris & Braden to discuss ordering a 2020 X3 xDrive30e. We quickly came to terms and ordered the car. 4 weeks later, the X3 was ready for delivery. Carlos provided excellent training during the delivery process. One of the most important aspects of this dealership to me is that they are a BMW dealership and BMW only. The employees are not only employees, like me, they are BMW enthusiasts. Every department of this dealership has, and continues, to earn my trust.

Mark Swarm came out immediately to greet us and walked us through the lot on a chilly November day. We indicated up front we were just looking to compare BMW, Mercedes and Infinity. Mark was willing to take time with us and explain the options with the BMW X3. After a test drive and Mark explaining all the features, we decided on the spot to buy the X3. I truly appreciated the dealership not putting pressure on us and the ease of how they operate. Carlos Holmes was fantastic as he walked us through all the details with regard to operating the navigation system and features of the car. Andy DeVine was very efficient and had all the paperwork ready when we came to finalize the purchase. This is our second purchase with Newbold and will not be our last.

Called Newbold and spoke with Chris Duncan about a couple of the vehicles that were on their webpage. Chris took his time and explained all of the vehicles that I had questions about. I was able to set up a personal appointment and Chris had my vehicle pulled up and ready for me to go on a test drive. Chris' knowledge of the vehicle was impressive and was he answered all the questions that I had prepped for him after reading reviews about the vehicle. Chris didn't try and up sell me and advocated for me with the used car sales manager. Chris was able to get me in and out of the dealership with in the hour. The longest part of the delivery was when the BMW Genius, Carlos Holmes, sat in the vehicle and instructed me about the vehicles options. The personal interaction was great. This is the best dealership I have worked with regarding customer service. What a great group of professionals.

My husband and I now refuse to go to any other dealership because we don't receive the high caliber of attention and care anywhere else (we made the mistake of going to Autohaus once and that was a nightmare for a variety of reasons). I just picked up my new X7 from Newbold BMW and couldn't have had a more positive experience in working with both Patrick Newbold and Braden Dyer. Highly recommend this dealership!!!

I just bought a used BMW 335i xdrive 2015 with 40,000 miles with a "rebuilt" title due to water damage. Fact: At 40,000 miles there is a vibration in certain RPM and MPH combinations. Fact: I took it to Newbold and was told the transmission was leaking through the casing, not a gasket but right through the metal casing of the body of the transmission. Fact: Sales representative said he had heard of this problem before and admitted it was a flaw in the design and/or production of the transmission. The metal was porous. Fact: The repair cost would be $11,600 and that did not even guarantee to fix the problem of the vibration and that may require $2200 drive shaft. Fact: Due to policy they would not honor any warranty because of the (unrelated to the transmission) previous damage. Fact: Then to add salt to the wound the sales rep. basically blamed me for buying it from an individual instead of them. Opinion: It doesn't matter who I bought it from, it was a BMW, not a Gremlin. If it has a design flaw that is not my fault, that is BMWs fault. For them to hide behind a warranty policy instead of owning their mistake in design or production is a simply unethical and pernicious. (Or to use a modern colloquialism, Chicken S**t.) That car sold for $55,000 and yet was un-drivable at only 40,000 miles.

The process was quick. The dealership works well to meet the buyers needs. They are courteous and respectful of your time. They make recommendations as to what is best suited for you.
