We had problems that was suppose to be fix BEFORE we bout

the vehicle home. We kept taking it to the dealership then getting calls about what we needed servicing - there was a great lack of communications between our Salesman and the automotive department. However, after a month of calling calling calling the issues were fixed. I would say do your research and read ALL reviews before making a decision. I think that they have some areas that needs work but I must say they may have gotten tired of me calling each day and fixed my problems.

2/28/22 my Kia Optima broke down.

I called Dean Mccrary Kia and was told my vehicle could be diagnosed within two weeks so I chose to have it towed there due to having a “lifetime warranty”. After two weeks it hadn’t been diagnosed. No big deal. It went several weeks without being diagnosed and we never complained. Now here we are 6/27/22. Four months and the car hasn’t been looked at. I finally had enough and called KIA corporate because I thought maybe they could help all while I was also in contact with the dealership. The service manager Adam had previously asked me what happened to the vehicle and I told him it lost all power on the interstate, was making all kinds of noises, and Eventually shut off. He says yeah it’s the engine and says he looks me up in the system to see if I’m covered by the lifetime warranty and yes I was….but engines are taking 8 months to come in. A few weeks down the road my wife calls and speaks to Adam who says they haven’t checked the vehicle but will be diagnosing it and he will call back next week. He never called. We finally got in touch with him and he said he diagnosed the vehicle and had to send an email to KIA to get a lead time on an engine. “KIA hadn’t emailed him back.” Today KIA corporate calls me and says there is no record of the vehicle being diagnosed. He called and spoke to the dealership again and nobody knows anything about it being diagnosed, and there is no record of an email being sent to KIA. For anyone who reads this do not use this dealership. Go to google and see the reviews and amount of time people have had their vehicles there. Some have been there 6 months to a year and haven’t been diagnosed. I am paying insurance on this car and burning so much money in gas using my truck commuting for work because this was my work car. The dealership won’t give us a loaner and no one has tried to make things right or easier on anybody. I will never buy from them again and do everything in my power to get the word out.

This is the worst dealership in the world they will

literally sell you a lemon and then tell you it’s out of there hands if you don’t have a car for two months on a car that has a life time warranty. Also I had only driven the car for less then a month if you are looking to purchase a car look somewhere else they will scam you for everything you got they only care about money the do NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

On December 2, 2020, I took my KIA Soul to Dean McCrary

with the engine light blinking. I was told I would probably need a new engine. Well they kept my car for THREE weeks not ONE phone call to me. I had to call EVERYDAY and was told we are waiting on the tech line, what ever that is. They REFUSED to give me a loaner and REFUSED to pay for a rental! When I did pick up my car I was told they gave me a FREE oil change, because they had to clean out all of the thick oil in the engine. Well, well, I have EVERY receipt from my car being at the dealership and these include oil changes. I am wondering if I ever got an oil change! I did call KIA consumer affairs! They could not get anyone from Dean McCrary to return their calls either. So my message to would be buyers go ANYWHERE but Dean McCrary, home of the life time warranty!!!! To get this life time warranty you MUST have your car serviced there for EVERYTHING!

Scammers and liars!!! I had bought a new 2021 Kia Seltos

in Dec. 2020 with 34 miles on it. In January 2021, it broke down. I had it towed to Dean McCrary Kia. I was calling everyday asking about my truck and nobody could tell me nothing. A week later finally got a call stating its the transfer case/transmission. I asked about a loaner or rental car, they tell me to call 1800 Kia for a rental. Then I was told it could take another week or 2 for them to fix it. By the end of the week I called to get an up date and to let them know that 1800 Kia said they don't do anything about rental. Then they told me I would have to pay for it up front and they will reimburse me later. I dont have funds to do that right. So then I talk to the service manager. His options were to either pay for it, find a ride where I needed to go, or let it get repo and I can finance another car. Then the lady who sold me the car came and told me the same thing and tried to talk me into letting it get repo and buying another car through her. I then left bc I didn't like how I was being treated and went back the next day to speak with the sales manager. I told him I talked to the finance company and they are willing to finance another vehicle for me if Kia sends them the check back for the Seltos in the shop. Its 2 days later and I still haven't heard from them. The Seltos is under warranty and I purchase an additional warranty. Mind you, this is the second time the 2021 Seltos has been in the shop and they told me it would be an additional month or 2 months before they can fix it.. They dont care about their customers at all. They dont follow up on their promises and its now going on 3 weeks I dont have my vehicle or a rental car. Even when I call up there, they forward my calls to their voice-mail and they will not give me corporate number.

Oil Study

Until this experience I would have given this dealership service department a good rating. But, the way I have been treated is unacceptable. If I could give the cutomer service less that 1 start I would. I was in for an oil change in October 2019 and end of November my car was out of oil. This was the first time it had ever burned oil that way and it was emitting an awful smell. I called the dealership and I was told I would need to participate in a 3,000 mile oil study and visit the dealership every 1000 mile. I went in first part of December to get it started. They didn't give me any paperwork but I didn't think much about it. At that point I trusted them. I just visited for my 3rd test and was at first told I had to come back 2 more times. When I explained the situation they then said I had to return once more and they had no record of my December visit. But, they did show that it did not meet the criteria in the Jan visit. If they had apologized and just said it was an error I would have been irritated but okay. Instead, the young lady treated me as if I were either lying or stupid. She continued to insist that the January visit was the start of the first 1000 miles. There are several reasons that prove they were not being truthful but I won't go into those. They did not give me any paperwork when I left so I returned and and requested it. Then, I called the service manger and he was very nice and said he would look into it and would call me the next morning. When I did not hear from him I called and left a message the next afternoon to give him the benefit of the doubt. I still have not heard from him. I have no choice except to continue with this study or start over with another dealership. Not only is this inconvenient, but you will spend at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours every time. My car has failed 2 of the three test and now I have to go back and leave the car for a whole day. I would not mind the inconvenience if I thought they would take care of the issue. I feel like they are doing everything they can to avoid responsibility.

Service Department is AWFUL

I recently bought a 2017 Sorento. Prior to completing the sale, I inspected the outside (tires, brake lights, headlights, etc...). After the purchase was final, I drove straight home. The next day I noticed that one of my tail lights was busted and part of it missing. I also realized that the 3rd row seats were down so I decided to raise them. When I raised them, I saw seats FULL of sand. Not just a little. It looked like someone had turned over a sand bucket in the seats. I believe that the service department busted my tail light but they will not accept responsibility. The lack of detail in cleaning the car shows just how much they care. Who sells a car with a seat full of sand???!! Dean McCrary does, that's who. I will not recommend them to anyone. As someone from a management background, I can assure you, I would not allow this type of service. Ronny Smith, our salesman, was the ONLY positive part of the purchase.

This dealership flooded my car due to a faulty repair!

I honestly loved my Kia Forte, which I purchased new from Dean McCrary in April of 2014. Never had any mechanical issues, always felt it was a safe, reliable car that did everything I needed it to do. I took great care of it and had all the scheduled maintenance done at this dealership. This spring I started finding unexplained damp or wet spots and actual MOLD growing inside of my car, on the carpeting underneath the driver's seat and back seat floor board. Then I found more inside of the trunk. After the dealership inspected it, they stated water had leaked into the trunk due to a factory defect. Apparently water was getting inside the trunk from the tail light assembly. Initially they had even stated that this was a 'wear & tear item' and tried to bill me for the repair?! I googled the leaking trunk factor in a Kia Forte and yes, there are numerous cases just like mine. This was NOT a new thing to Kia! I left my vehicle with them for the 'recommended repair' that same day. They were also supposed to clean the mold from the carpets. (They did not.) This faulty repair only made the issue far worse, and my car was FLOODED by water two days in a row due to heavy rains the weekend after I picked it up from them on Friday, April 26th. The carpet was completely drenched and over 2 gallons of water were removed via a shop vac for two days consecutively. Water from the leak came in through the trunk, traveled underneath the back seat and drenched the carpeting. I made photos of everything and emailed them to the service manager. The car smells of mold and there is visible mold as well. The trunk had mold visible on the side walls, in between the back seat and trunk and also underneath the carpeted mat & rubber mat that covers the spare tire area. There are also visible rust spots forming in the paint that have yet to be addressed. All of this water damage occurred nearly 3 months ago. (The 'repair' was done the week of April 23rd, 2019) They still have my car in their shop as of today, July 16th! The service manager barely communicates and does not respond to calls and very rarely to emails. The local dealership wants to blame Kia Corporate for a factory defect. Kia Corporate is stating that this is a poor workmanship issue, & the local dealership is 100% responsible...So nothing has been resolved. I have repeatedly ask for a list of what is being replaced, such as the carpet, floor mats, back seat, any rust that needs to be addressed, mold removal, any electrical or mechanical parts that have been affected by the amount of water that has flown into my car...NO response. I am beyond disappointed and actually quite shocked at the way this has been handled. The car is ruined by water damage, and the service department which I had trusted for 5 years to do every single service needed on my car will never again regain my trust. It is now July 16th and this issue has been ongoing since April 23rd. Lack of customer service and lack of competency have ruined not only my vehicle, but the entire experience of owning a Kia for me. How can a dealership literally flood my vehicle and not expect to be held accountable for the undeniable damages? I requested a buy-back on this vehicle from Kia. There is no chance of me trusting this vehicle is going to be restored to it's previous condition and no way I will ever trust that it will not have issues in the future as a result of the water damage. It would be the only fair resolution and yet I get no response. This is outrageous & negligent, to say the least. Avoid this dealership!

If it's justin-get out of there fast

I had looked @ trucks on cars.com for over a month, put in some feeler about financing options & I received a call from Debbie asking me for some details about what I was looking for.I tols her I was looking for something like an f150,maybe an f250 & I had a budget of 15-17000$.I got a call a few days later saying the manager(justin) had a really special deal & we should come take a look.I live in Pensacola,a 1.5 hour drive each way from Mobile.Went to take a look, the "deal" was a 2012 F250-for 34000$.It's a nice truck & we bought it.When we were ready to leave,I looked & the gas tank was Empty.Took about a 1/2 hour & they finally got us 20$ worth of gas,I asked about the 2'nd key fob & was told they would overnight it.A week later,no key.I then realized the trailer hitch was locked,no key to that either & I explained I couldn't hook my trailer up ( wrong sized ball) so I couldn't WORK,after 4 varied stories,I was told Justin said to "just cut it off" Finally, the manager of Audi called & sent a locksmith, plus offered a 100$ gift card for the poor service we'd gotten & then never sent it.To us,34000$ was a lot of money,we feel like we were treated like our business was insignificant- I guess that's what happens when you sell a lot of Audis & Posches. If it's a lot of money to you too,do your self a favor & avoid these people, there's plenty of other car dealers out there.

The Early bird gets the worm

I would like to shout out to Mr.Ben Purvis ,I set out that morning in search of a car, when I went to the front door it was locked and I read on the door that they didn't open until 9:00am but I felt that if I had left I wouldn't come back that day so I went into the service entrance and asked if there were anybody that could help me buy a car and the young lady said that it should be someone up front so I went looking up front searching in the cubicles and when I saw the young man, I asked him if he could help me buy a car and he replied that he was new but he would gladly do what he could to make sure that he would put me in the car that I would be satisfied with, and that man was Ben Purvis and not only did he do just that but he made me one of the happiest woman in the world I have been on cloud nine every since, Ben Purvis is sure on his way to being MVP in the car dealer business thanks again.

Incredibly dishonest

I’m interested in a 2017 Sportage EX and have been looking around at local dealers to see what kind of deals I can find. I currently live in Slidell, LA and have looked at dealerships in southern Louisiana and Mississippi. Online, I came across a 2017 Kia Sportage EX which was listed for $21,888. The dealership website states MSRP for the vehicle is $26,970, but with “instant savings” of $5,082, the price is now $21,888. There is nothing on the website which states what these “instant savings” are from. I requested a quote from the dealership and was sent an email which stated the purchase price of the car is $21,888. Because I still did not fully believe this was the price and wanted to make sure that there were no catches to buying the car at this price, I called the dealership to ask why the price was so cheap. I was told that the car was listed so cheap because it’s a holiday weekend and they wanted to get rid of some of their kia stock because they had so much. I scheduled an appointment with a sales person for 7/2/16. I explained to the person on the phone that I wanted to make sure that was the actual price before making the 1 and half hour drive to the dealership for nothing. She assured me that was the correct price. When I get to the dealership today, I meet my sales person Billy Lewis. I explained to him which car I was interested in and he retrieved the keys and went with me on a test drive. I loved the car and was ready to purchase it. I explained to Billy that the only thing to negotiate is the trade in value for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited which is in excellent condition and had at the time 87,000 miles. I currently still owe $8,976 for my car and was hoping to at least get enough to cover what I still owe. I know that is possible with a Kelly blue book value of $9,200 for my car. My mom was with me for my appointment. He got my keys and explained to me that they would go appraise the car. Me and my mom waited for a very long time and when he finally came back, he explained that first they were only going to give me $4,500 for my trade in which is worth $9,200 on Kelly Blue Book and second, he explained that the price of $21,888 I had been quoted earlier was the price after all available rebates at this time had been applied. These are rebates which I do not qualify for. He said the car is actually listed for MSRP of $26,970. Now once again, their website did not state that these savings were due to rebates which you had to qualify for. The person who I had spoken to on the phone did not explain that, nor did the email state anything about the price being contingent on qualifying for rebates. At this point, I’m upset that I had been lied to and was being offered an insultingly low amount for my trade in. After I explained that I would not except those amounts and the monthly payments would be more than I could afford, Billy told me he would go talk to his manager some more and see what they could do. After waiting for much longer, me and my mom were called into the finance office where the finance manager began to go over warranties and extra add-ons. After long explanations of everything, I was finally told that the monthly payments were still over $100 more than what I had said I would pay. The price of the car was a little under $24,000 and they were still offering the same amount for my trade-in. I explained to the finance manager that I had been quoted the price of $21,888 previously multiple times for the car and if I had known that was not the actual price of the car, I would never have wasted my time or my gas coming to their dealership. At the end when they came up to an amount of $7500 for my trade-in, the sales person tried telling that that amount was only $500 less than what I still owe on my car. That amount is actually about $1500 less than what I owe. Either he can’t do math or he was once again hoping I would believe a lie. Either way I was once again insulted. There were many times I was ready to get up and leave, but I had never been given my keys back so I was unable to leave. I feel that this was a tactic from the sales person to keep me there. When I asked for my keys, I was given someone else’s keys which even had a large keychain with someone else’s name. Even after that and we had gotten up to leave, I realized they never gave me back my registration. I had to go back and ask them for that. Never go to this dealership. They are so dishonest. I had read all these reviews prior to going and thought maybe it won't be that bad, but I was wrong.

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!! After agreeing on prices, they ran my credit and Pretty much just wait on them to finish up on my loan papers. Gary the salesman call back and tell me the sale manager Steven have decided not to sale me the vehicle. I asked why and he said the manager said he's not going to do a deal with me for a loss. That's a bunch of BS! Never had I been treated like this by a dealership. Oh yea he pretty much said I haggle too much and it was giving him a headache. I guess we should just paid the amount they give to us without any negotiation so he won't have a headache. Again! DONT DO IT........!!!

I was in the market for a new vehicle and found myself at

Dean McCrary Kia on referral because of the interior features. I test drove a 2015 Kia Sorento and had all of the paperwork done but was given a 24HR cool down period to go talk it over with the spouse. Everything was great up until we sat down and realized we would be paying $700.00 a month for a Kia. We decided to wait until the weekend when we could go together to shop. I returned the following day to return the vehicle and was introduced to Steven... the sales manager. He asked what they could do to keep me in the car, I said nothing, that we would be back on Saturday. He and Calebs manager proceeded to interrogate me on who would actually be paying the bill and why my spouse should have a say so. I was then told by Steven that maybe I needed to go home and ask for permission and when permission was given, then maybe return so that I would be allowed to purchase the vehicle. I asked for the key to my car and left. I will never return to this dealership and I seriously hope they get that issue taken care of AQAP. I went to Joe Bullard.

My husband and I were searching for a used Kia Soul and

we live in Mobile so we went to Dean McCrary Kia. Upon entering the lot we were greeted by a man named Brian-he never introduced himself, we found this out later. He showed us a used Soul which my husband and I both fell in love with. After we took it for a test ride, we went back inside to talk a little about pricing. While we waited on the sales manager to run some numbers, our sales associate felt the need to ignore us and crack jokes with other members of the sales team. At this point, we kind of felt like we were being taken as a joke because this lasted for a good 10-15 minutes of us sitting there waiting and wondering what was going on. When he returned, we got a fairly high price on the used Soul and then he tried to push one of the new Souls on us by throwing out rebates and promos and whatnot. We had discussed out price range which was 13-14k for a used Soul, to which neither deal supplied. They actually had one listed online that they were selling for a 1k cheaper than what they were trying to push on us. They refused to go lower and again tried to push the new 2013 Soul on us. We were told by Brian the salesman that they would get the new Soul to the price we wanted. So we thought, ok this might work out for us, but we still were more interested in the used Soul because it was pretty much exactly the same. We go outside and picked out one of the new ones and went back inside yet again to talk numbers. We sat down and Brian started asking us our information for the credit check. When he came back, he returned with a credit approval and assumed that we were going to buy the new Soul without any talk of price whatsoever. When we mentioned that he said 16.5k and we immediately said again we could not afford it and were upset our credit was run for nothing. In between, yet again, the cutting up and laughing carried on during which we heard one of the guys drop an "F bomb." At this point the sales manager came over and pretty much had an attitude of "what's the problem?" We expressed our concern about pricing and he literally said anything he could to pressure us into the buy. Telling us to finance with them and then refinance later and we'll save a thousand here, turn this rebate in for $750 back but still their price with everything was too high. The sales manager pointed out it was 7pm passed their closing time, and asked verbatim whether or not we were gonna do business because they closed at seven and we were inconveniencing them-we had been there since 5pm. We asked them to see how much the monthly payments would be for 6 years and we got a number, we couldn't afford, and when we asked for 7 years Brian went to the back to ask Steve (the sales manager) and we heard him yell "Gah man!" At that point, we asked for our keys and left. We drove over to Team Gunther Kia in Daphne, got a car we liked for a price we could afford and were treated like kings and queens there. Dean McCrary left us speechless. We felt totally disrespected and they were extremely rude to us. This description really does not give our terrible experience justice.

We live 50 miles from the Dean McCrary dealership and had

a minor problem with the air conditioner on our new Audi A 6. They sent a driver with a loaner Audi A4 within an hour. Our Audi A6 was promptly repaired and returned to our home completely washed and detailed. We had an exceptional experience both at purchase and service.
