experience, Cory did reach out to us after we posted this review. While it would have been nice to have this conversation when we first returned with the issues, he apologized and acknowledged that mistakes were made. We appreciated that attempts were made to hear us out as this was what we wanted in the first place. He did his best to give us something and though it wasn't a perfect fix, we appreciated the effort. I am still not sure if I would recommend buying a car here as the experience was quite stressful. However, if they do improve training and address some of the issues as they promised, there is potential for a more positive buying experience. Thank you Cory for demonstrating that you do care about the situation and that the experience we had is not how you are trying to run this business. This dealership is deceitful, misleading, and holds themselves to an incredibly low standard. They did not disclose open recalls to us and lied about one of them being resolved. They claim their pre-certified cars go through a comprehensive 139 point inspection and yet we found something broken on the car immediately upon purchase. One can only wonder what bigger issues are being covered up when buying one of these certified cars. It clearly means absolutely nothing. Beware when looking at a description sheet provided by the salesperson as they are inaccurate and the salesperson likely has no idea what features the car does and doesn't have. This dealership will lose no sleep over putting your family at risk (because of undisclosed open recalls and likely because of preexisting conditions they are not being transparent about). They make no effort to make things right or apologize for making mistakes. In fact Cory Skeen was too busy and refused to speak with us when we came in to address these numerous issues and seek a resolution. We simply had to take whatever pathetic excuse for resolution they offered and were given no apology. This simply means they could care less about the customer, their reputation, and human decency. Please beware when visiting this dealership. It's reprehensible that their website claims they hold family values, care about the customer, and seek to provide a professional experience. Shopping there will likely result in the exact opposite. Whatever stereotypical assumption comes to mind when you think of car sales - it is 100% true when it comes to Corwin Ford. There is no end to the negative things I can say about this establishment and they should be embarrassed by their service to the Reno community. In addition, Ford should be embarrassed that they are representing their namesake in such a deplorable manner. If Cory Skeen decides he would like to make things right and salvage whatever shred of respect he might have left, he is more than welcome to reach out to me and explain why he is managing this dealership in such an unethical manner.

and management won’t call us back. We are considering alternative action to resolve this situation, but in the meantime we are at a loss and would definitely not recommend purchase of service of a vehicle at Corwin Ford Reno.

complaint about him. Simone was supposed to call me back but it never happened. So basically it happened when we showed up to test drive the Yukon. Upon arrival, the Yukon was having battery problems, while doing numbers. My husband told Mario, we would like to talk to the manager, we don't feel comfortable with placing a deposit on a vehicle that can't even start. Mario then came back and said OK, talk to my sales manager. He said they're gonna pull it into the shop tonight. Take a look at it in the morning and we will let you know what's going on with it. Heathen said we will. I will be back on Wednesday and we will get everything taken care of. If I reach out to you and let you know what's going on. Tuesday Leo called me, said there was another family interested in buying the Yukon, they know about the ( battery problems) and they were approved without having to put anything down. His demeanor and the way that he talked to me and tried to bully me into putting a deposit down on a vehicle that was having battery problems is not okay. I then gave my husband the phone and he and Leo went back and forth. Leo then texted me 20 minutes after getting off the phone with my husband. And said I will have Mario contact you with an update on the Yukon. So now Wednesday comes around, I had to reach out to Mario to even see what was going on. Come to find out it was more than the battery and it had to be pulled into the shop for longer than they thought and it can no longer be sold as of now. No apology know nothing.

We bought a brand new 2022 Expedition in July 2022 from Corwin Ford Reno. We also purchased a platinum warranty coverage on this vehicle which is 10 years or 100000 miles. The car has a recall on the brake lines, the transmission revs randomly without putting on the gas, it goes into reverse on its own from time to time, and the AC in the rear has gone out and is blowing hot air everywhere. All of this is covered under warranty, but they are not willing to do anything about it. They are also saying it is months out for the transmission to even be looked at. They are unwilling to give a loner vehicle / rental vehicle out for the time being and claim this program no longer exists, even though our warranty has this included with it. They had no issue though asking us if we wanted to spend $2500 for preventative maintenance on the vehicle along with topping off fluids. This is our only vehicle and it is used for transportation for 4 young kids, Corwin is the absolute worst and we will never buy a car from them again!

Experience! Selling my vehicle online was a breeze! The process was straightforward, communication was clear, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I’m very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely do business again in the future. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
He was very nice, not pushy in anyway and very patient with my first car purchase. Great communication and follow up after purchase. Easy to contact thru calls and texts, responds quickly.
89511 Car dealer Buyer 21 points 34 minutes ago I purchased a 2019 "Blue Star Certified" F250 from Corwin. After 3 weeks of "inspections and warranty work", I was told it was 100% good to go and made the 7 hr drive to pick it up. I trusted them. On the way home, the truck pulls to the right so badly that its scary. Took it to Les Schwab 2 days later for an alignment a manager said they'd pay for and it turned out to be the tie rods etc...estimate is $867. Sadly, dealerships here can't get me in until August. 3 days after purchase, the truck wouldn't start. Panic set in, knowing the dealership had already fumbled the worn out suspension that Les Schwab said were very obvious. Thankfully, it turned out to just be a cracked 6 year old battery My confidence in this dealership is gone. Management didn't call back as promised. In fact, Corwin hung up on us while I stood there with my Ford dealership trying to find out why my truck wouldn't start. I'm paying for a full inspection because the transmission is also shifty and will have another dealership resolve the issues that Corwin passed along instead of doing their job. Whether it was service techs glossing over problems or sales management declining repairs to make a profitable sale or something else, this dealership failed to provide a road worthy vehicle. I'm now in a race to have repairs done before their 3 montth warranty is up. It took almost 4 months to get the title because Corwin sold me a vehicle that wasnt paid off and they didnt have the title. This does not abide by the laws of Nevada. Someone keeps having my review removed. If it happens again, I will post reviews all over social media. Everyone should know what they're getting into.
line issue. Could not get them to call back so I stopped by to get an appointment. Could not even talk with the "lady" that makes the appointments for recalls! I was told I could contact other dealers in California or Carson city. Spend 80K on a car and can't even talk to someone about a recall appointment?!?!? Called Carson city (30 miles away) and was scheduled on the first try. Should have bought my car in Carson City
These guys are great

Department @ Ford in recent years. But they had a truck we needed for work, so we bit the bullet and visited their new location. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience, which did not include any contact with service. Maurice, our salesman was wonderful. He made the whole process quick & easy. We helped by knowing what we were looking for, but his calm demeanor was a pleasure. We paid cash, so not a lot to do in finance, but I did appreciate Jeremy in Finance understanding that we would not be doing any service contracts for the reasons stated above. He asked, I shared, he got the point and moved on. I appreciated that very much. Corwin's new facility is lovely. Plenty of new clean space to hammer out a deal. Service Dept has a wealth of space now as well, so hopefully they've figured out how to better serve their customers.

A pleasure to deal with/ you
— Richard
Our rep understood what we were looking for and didn’t try to talk us into something else. Gave us options and explained the difference between the vehicles we were looking at.
He was timely and responsive; as an out-of-state buyer, I wanted as much information on the car as possible prior to making the trip to test drive and look at the vehicle. Anthony took numerous additional pictures and talked me through everything about the vehicle. He stayed well after closing one night to discuss the car with me. His assessment of the vehicle condition was honest and not misleading. He picked me up at the airport in the vehicle and allowed me the time needed to investigate the vehicle. He was not overbearing or aggressive in his approach, but rather energetic but laid back. He explained the entire purchase process to me and was very efficient in working through the paperwork and getting his part of the sale done as quickly as possible. He showed interest in my needs and was not just looking for a sale.

through with a fair and equitable deal on both vehicles I’ve bought from him. He works hard to make sure the deal goes through, always has great communication, and never pressures or lies about anything. He’s an exceptional car salesman and him and the rest of the team at Corwin Ford are fantastic!

the g37 i got :) made it nice n easy too
— Tboy20
ineffective repairs, non-callbacks, lack of communication, and poor customer service have caused me significant financial and personal hardship. I would even give them one star. I have been without a vehicle for 46 days. The dealership’s communication has been deplorable. This experience has been a nightmare. Check the BBB reviews

service here a few times, and it leaves a lot to be desired especially compared to other dealerships in the northern Nevada and northern California area.
— Brett
The order was built incorrectly and rather than being customer service oriented and keeping the customer taken care of the dealership placed all of the blame on ford (not my problem) then because they were not going to make any money the trade value was undervalued so they could regain losses. I DO NOT recommend what so ever!
— Adam
Christopher W. was my salesman and he did everything he could to help me get the car i wanted at the price i wanted. He was patient, kind, and overall a wonderful person to work with.
— kenzie
to work with and they made my first EV purchasing experience a breeze. Michael Oade in Finance was also very easy to work with and he worked to get me a deal that I am very happy with. The new Corwin Ford dealership is very nice and I will be recommending this location and this team to anyone I know interested in purchasing a vehicle. Thank you to CJ and the Corwin Ford team!
— xleyadam
Everyone was excellent. Beautiful dealership. Got a new bronco at a great price. Thank you all for your excellent service!

Chris was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Would definitely recommend
appropriately and that there wasn’t a pressure sales environment.
They have an excellent selection and an even better staff.
research online and chatting with the dealership through their online platform. It’s supposed to make things easier, but this time, it was anything but. I first connected with Jayden, who helped me get pricing for a lease and a trade-in. Things were going smoothly for a couple of days, but then Jayden just stopped responding. After two days of silence, I reached out and asked if I should call the dealership. That’s when CJ stepped in on 03/13, saying he’d take over. CJ assured me that Jayden had brought him up to speed, but he still asked questions I had already answered. I tried to stay patient and pointed it out, and CJ moved on to asking if I would register the vehicle in Reno. At that point, I decided to let it slide and move forward, hoping things would get better. I sent CJ three vehicles I was interested in and asked him to get pricing with my trade-in. I was leaning toward the Maverick at first, but CJ told me those were on a “No-Sale” due to a recall. Fine—I shifted my focus to the Bronco Sport. CJ quoted me $637 a month for 36 months with $2,000 down, including the trade-in. I then sent him two more Broncos to price, but he refused to run the numbers for the specific vehicles. He brushed it off, saying the payment would only vary by about $50. That felt dismissive, and on top of that, the dealership’s website showed much lower payment estimates—around $200 less per month. The whole thing felt misleading and frustrating. Eventually, I decided to stick with the Bronco. Later, CJ texted me, saying the Maverick would soon be available again after the recall was fixed, but I wasn’t comfortable buying a car with an active recall. He then said that if he lowered the payment to $550 on any of the vehicles we talked about, would I pull the trigger, and I agreed. When I went to the dealership on 03/18 for the test drive, CJ was “too busy” to meet me. Instead, he handed me off to Quest, who knew nothing about our prior conversations. CJ claimed he’d left all the details in a folder for Quest, but the folder was empty. At this point, I was already frustrated but decided to keep going. I asked Quest to let me test drive the Bronco and give me a clear monthly payment before we wasted any more time. On the way to the car, I asked about the Maverick recall. Quest told me they couldn’t sell the Maverick due to the recall—which directly contradicted what CJ had said. That was another red flag. Quest was polite, but he wasn’t what you’d expect from a salesperson. He moved slowly, seemed disinterested, and lacked any sense of urgency. I repeatedly asked for the monthly payment, emphasizing that I didn’t want to waste time if the payment wasn’t going to work. Quest ignored me and focused on paperwork, which he somehow had to redo multiple times. It dragged on forever. Finally, Quest came back with a payment that was way higher than the $550 CJ had promised. To make matters worse, the original manager handling the deal had left for the day, and yet another person was now taking over. At that point, it was clear they had no intention of working with me and my husband. I asked for my car keys back, which the dealership had been holding onto the entire time—making it difficult for me to leave. Quest finally returned with my keys but tried to defend their actions and even blamed me for the situation. That was the last straw. I told him their tactics—ignoring customers, bait-and-switch pricing, and holding keys hostage—were unacceptable. This was a blatant attempt to pressure me into a deal I wasn’t comfortable with. This entire experience was a disaster. If you enjoy dealing with bait-and-switch tactics, disorganization, and working with 3 salespeople and 2 managers just to get through one car deal, this dealership might be for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.

He anticipated our needs and helped us find the perfect car for us. He was honest and genuine and didn’t put any pressure on us-he really lets the cars speak for themselves and we couldn’t be happier with his recommendation.
— vanessa
We had a great experience all around. He made sure that we found a car that fit exactly what we wanted and put absolutely no pressure on. He also made sure that we got the best price on our trade-in, and the best deal on the car we wanted to purchase. I would absolutely do business with him again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a car!
— micsic83
The next day an obviously pre existing condition came to light. A Check engine light. Took it back to the dealership and they offered me $5000 less than I paid two days earlier. I put less than 50 miles on the car when this happened. These people are scoundrels and thieves. Don’t trust them on anything!
he offered without lying to me like Joseph Dehaven at Carson City Hyundai.
— Julz
into the truck we wanted and wasn’t super pushy or rude to us for taking more time to think about trucks and what we wanted to do the whole process took a little over a week but Chris was always on top of updates and making sure I was informed I would buy from Chris again!

rotten experience, Salesperson Elias Acosta not professional at all. Lotta questions didn’t get answered a lot of not knowing what’s going on. very disappointing. Ended up losing a good chunk of money. didn’t explain anything even after I asked it was rush, rush like he had to have the sale to survive. Absolutely terrible I feel sorry for his next victim.

I was eyeing a “Used” 5k mile 24 GMC Sierra AT4 AEV they had on the lot from afar and finally made a day to go check it out in person. From the moment we arrived on the lot we could immediately see the difference from the bad experience dealerships we have previously been to over the years. Not one sales person rushed over as soon as we stepped out of our vehicle. They all let us walk around for a moment and then approached in an easy going manner, which was very appreciated. We were told Chris Winberg “knew all there was to know about trucks” and they were 100% right. Chris showed us around the lot first with the GMC I’d been eying, pointing out stats of the truck. He then showed us the comparable 25 F150 Tremor which then put a huge curveball in the “we’re here for the GMC” plans. We ended up test driving both and each time he again presented his knowledge of each truck which was awesome. Ultimately we took home the GMC. It felt like a no pressure deal and he truly wanted us to drive away in what worked best for us. Each step of the sale seemed very streamlined from sales to finance to the detail department. We left with a beautiful shiny truck and huge smiles on our faces. Can’t say enough about how smooth and pleasant this experience was! Thanks Corwin Ford, we will definitely be back!
underperformed the average dealership in several categories. While common in the Covid area, the dealership continues to overcharge for parts/service and vehicles. I recently quoted several vehicles and found Corwin Ford to be an average of over $10k more than competitors. This pertains to high dollar vehicles, but is still significant on a percentage basis. I recently had my Raptor service and was quoted 3x the required service time of competing shops (of note, the shop rates are also higher at the Corwin dealership than most of the surrounding shops). The dealership requires follow up to remain on task when things are going well, and are difficult to contact if things are less than ideal (they will follow up excessively if they think a sale is involved). I have done business in multiple industries and with multiple automobile dealerships across the country. Corwin Ford is the dealership that ranks lowest on my list. Do a little homework and you may save thousands, regardless of what you are in for.
stressful and for me, intimidating. I actually hate the process. But not this time. Christopher Winberg made it so easy with his vast knowledge of the vehicle, all the bells and whistles and most importantly, all the new safety features. He was zero-pressure but extremely responsive and very pleasant. I absolutely LOVE my new Ford Explorer -- I have had mostly European cars in the past. In fact, traded in my Porche Macan and I couldn't be happier. I'm still learning all the technologies and features and the drive is so comfortable and amazing. I would also like to thank Jeremy, the sales manager for his patience and working to get me the best deal possible. You were AWESOME!! Ok, lastly, thank you Jessica for explaining all the line items in the contract and getting me a great rate on my financing--I wasn't going to finance but she gave me a rate I couldn't refuse. This is a TOP NOTCH dealership with honestly and integrity!! I will definitively recommend them!!
service department over a year ago, I wasn’t thrilled about doing business with the dealership, but my husband wanted a Ford truck. We went by and spoke with Christopher in Sales. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was low pressure and helped us get the truck we needed. He made our truck buying experience a great one.

out of state quick and easy. They have won my business for life.
— brusoe.j
. Schell your service manager is amazing and Chris Winberg our salesperson went above and beyond. He is the best. Thank you so much. We are very satisfied with our new truck.
needed and worked above and beyond and really seemed to like his job. Explained things and found the answers if unsure! Would recommend to anyone who wants to go to ford!!
— sc
terms of the loan, they would not show me. I was told the Finance Manager called in a “favor” to get us a great rate. Well then show it us!
and great to work with. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new vehicle.
the sales process, my experience afterward has been terrible. I drove away in a 2012 truck with 45k miles that looked new. However, halfway home, it threw three codes: a bad sensor and a bad DEF tank. The dealership had clearly blanked out the codes before selling it to me—they reappeared within 30 minutes of driving. I cleared them twice, and they returned 30 minutes each time. The dealership claimed they did a "thorough inspection," but there’s no way these issues weren’t present before I drove just 30 miles. They took the truck back to check it and then tried to charge me $875 for fully covered repairs under the bumper-to-bumper warranty they sold me, including a $500 deductible. They documented on my bill that they had to clean out a rat's nest in the engine compartment and replace two lightbulbs, including a taillight—issues that should have been caught during their inspection. This "thorough inspection" was a joke. I’ve had the truck 3 days so far. The billing department claimed I was told I’d have to pay $600 for diagnostics, even though I provided proof in writing from the service department on their letterhead that I wasn’t responsible for any diagnosis fees, even if I decided not to have the repairs completed by them. The warranty explicitly covers the repairs; their service department came out with a bill for 75.00 and said the sales dept covered the rest, and 2 days later, they started threatening me unless I paid more than the $500.00 deductible. But they refused to honor it without trying to squeeze more money out of me. They failed, and I paid the $500.00. I called the warranty company and informed them Corwin Ford is charging me more for the work covered under the warranty. The Warranty people said Corwin violated the contract between them and Corwin Ford. I have provided all the documentation to them. In total, Corwin Ford charged almost $3,000 for repairs that should’ve cost $1,200 and should have been completed before they sold me the truck. It’s clear they’re more interested in making money on everything they can, even at the cost of their customers. I have all the documents to back this up, and I’m putting together a website to expose their practices. Stay tuned for the launch of CorwinRipoff .com. This is my opinion, and I have documents, emails, and text to prove it. Lastly, after getting my truck back from them, I noticed the Spedodometer was not working anymore. Im not taking it back, so they can charge me 500.00 more to fix it.
Excellent experience. Fast, efficient, and professional experience. I highly recommend Mr. Winberg.
Very great to work with and explained everything. Will definitely go back and will recommend
and the folks are Corwin ford. You all were very helpful and did not feel pressured in the purchase of our new Bronco. Thanks Christopher and Corwin ford team. Lee and Corinne
He made the buying process easy.

Great job. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all the help

The windshield wiper fluid reservoir was empty off the lot but I didn’t think much of it since it was summer. I brought it to them and now they’re trying to charge me $1000 for a plastic tube they say rodents chewed, when it was clearly and obviously like that off the lot. If it were my issue sure I wouldn’t bother with this, but there was no chance for mice to chew this up as we drove it every day and kept it garaged. Funny that my rarely driven Toyota parked outside hasn’t had any mice issues. Stay away from Corwin.
Couldn’t recommend working with him and Corwin Ford Reno enough.
