Mazda that I wanted so I broke down and decided to get a new one. Then I couldn't get a lower level package as cars always gone when I would reach out to dealers. So was willing to bite the bullet and upped my choice to a premium package. Over 30,000. Did the test drive and was ready to sign but when I looked at the paperwork the dollar amount was different. I was advised that because there aren't a lot of cars to sell, a 'market adjustment' was added to keep the heat and lights on at the dealership. Not like 500.00, but 2,000.00. An unearned 2,000.00. I just couldn't sign. I wish there were a salary bump for me due to the higher cost of everything but there isn't. It seems that the profit on the MSRP isn't ever a factor. Hopefully the practice will be eliminated or the amount lessened. Sarah was helpful over the phone but I wish the additional fee would have been noted in the ad before my taking the long drive.
