Apple Tree Honda

Accord Hybrid Sport L from Apple Tree Honda on 5/25/2023. It has been a truly horrible experience that just keeps on giving! Yesterday, I found damage to the car’s interior that was clearly known and hidden. Under the spotless, new floor mats installed by Apple Tree Honda, especially the passenger side mats, you could clearly see the carpet under the mats were intentionally damaged from the heel(s) of a work boot being dug into the carpet. You can actually see the ridges left from the heel of the boots intentionally being forcefully scraped forward and back multiple times to ruin the carpet pile. How I know it was a work boot that did the damage was the fact that the new floor mats were not present in the car when the damage was made. You could clearly see the full pattern of the dirty sole of the boot in the passenger floorboard. Additionally, you could actually see the impressions of that passengers knuckles in the drop down handle above the passenger door. There are 4 permanent knuckle impressions in the headliner we did not see when we looked at the car. Now on to the tires. There are zero of the small rubber hair spikes on the edge of the tires that are present on all new tires. They are called 'vent spews', a weird name for something extremely common. Other names include sprue nubs, tyre nibs, gate marks or nippers. The hairs actually play a vital role in the tyre manufacturing process. The “new car” had 137 miles on it from “the Manager Driving It” and I believe the car was taken out on several hard drives that would scrub off the vent spews referenced above and force the passenger on those drives to grab the drop down handle on the passenger side and hang on for the ride! The floorboards, the tires and the knuckle impressions in the headliner all support this account of how this car was used just before we bought it. Again, who thinks to check under the brand new floor mats for damage to a “Brand New” car. The floor mats themselves were brand new with not a mark, dirt or any lint on them. The only floorboard not damaged, dirt or used was the driver’s rear seating area. The tires though are what lead me to put 2 and 2 together to find out how this car was driven By The Manager for 137 miles. It has been a terrible experience dealing with Apple Tree Honda before, during and after our purchase of what they can legally call a new car. I personally caught the Salesman, the Sales Manager and the General Sales Manager in lies misrepresenting the car, it’s condition, the price agreed to and that we could call the salesman if my wife didn’t like the car and they would get her something else.
