dealership last month. With that said, asked the salesmen to check for any recalls and the oil life left on the car… was told it was good do go and didn’t need anything. One month later had to take the car in for an oil change, as it only had 1% of life left on it (I’ve only drove the car 150 miles since purchase) and it also required two recalls. Thanks a lot to this dealership for taking care of it. Wow, will not be going back for my next Corvette. Beware of this dealership and their word. They suck big time… my 2 Cents!!!

Illinois in our 2018 GMC 2500HD Denali with 6.6L Duramax diesel when the truck went into "limp mode" repeatedly. I would pull off, shut the truck off, and start up fine again. Unfortunately it ran good for fewer and fewer miles before it went back into "limp mode." The last time it happened I was in I-74 right in front of Ray Skillman. I saw diesel service sign on the building and pulled in. They were simply awesome. I was travelling with my wife, 2-dogs, and a bed full of cargo. They welcomed us and our dogs and got our truck right in for diagnosis. They said I needed an injector and a wiring harness, but they did not have the parts. The would be there in the morning and could repair my truck and get us back on the road before lunch. They gave us (including our dogs) a ride to a hotel to spend the night, then came back and picked us up in the morning. When we got back to the dealership, our truck was done and ready to go. Hat off to Service Consultant Rien Hazelwood, and our driver, Tristan who took great care of us and our vehicle. Also, everyone stopped by to make big over the dogs making them feel welcome as well while we waited in day 1 for our diagnosis and ride. Great experience. Great service handling a roadside emergency with a specialized diesel repair. If I lived in Indiana I would buy my next truck here. I also would give them 6-stars if I could. My truck performed like a champ (normal) as we continued our 600-mile trip home and we arrived w/out further incident.

I am in love with this truck, and the buying experience was easy and seriously fun.

December 26 the transmission failed. Now I understand that happened on a used vehicle I don’t understand why the mechanic working the car pulled the dip stick saying the fluid was burn and clear vs red. I called the Skillman multiple times and was everything from they don’t check fluids on used cars to the car doesn’t have dipstick. The y won’t even acknowledge that this is a basic action to take on used cars. Even oil change business check fluids. Before writing this review I gave them multiple opportunities to admit they could have don’t better but they won’t do so. It is of note that at no point I asked for any compensation. When you purchase $28,000 used car you expect someone to do something as simple as check all fluids and to notice something is wrong.

broken wire from Body Control Module to the Power Supply Module which seems very understandable. They were diligent in tracking it down and got the problem resolved. Darcy kept us informed through the process.

Service Department checked what I asked in a short time.

I am a GM employee and I placed a deposit on a vehicle in transit and told them I didn't want any dealer add-ons. I got my own loan so all they had to do was let me sign the paperwork, send a fax and get their money. When it arrived a month later I went to pick it up and it had $3000 of dealer add-ons plus a $225 doc fee which is supposed to be $75 for GM employee. They refused to even negotiate so I got my deposit back and told them to keep it. Go see Andrea at Champion Chevrolet Avon instead!

I have never been more disrespected than I was by Drew Skillman! I took my car into service and never received a call with the diagnostic or the price of the repair before the “work” was completed, and they receive a call that my car was ready for pick up and I owed around $400.We were obviously upset by this and Drew said we are liars that they have been in business too long to make that mistake. On the way home my car was having the same issues that I was just charged for repair so I take it back and then actually receive a quote and had to pay another $1200 (For the same issue!) Another problem I have is that my Husband and I have purchased 7 car from this dealership. I wanted to purchase a vehicle in only my name to establish credit after being a SAHM for 12 years so I use the buy here pay here. I had been paying on my car for 3 years and called to make my payment that was 6 days late and they said I still owed $80. I figured it was fees and made arrangements to pay on that upcoming Friday (after having to pay all of the service fees) and the at 1am they towed my car! I called an the ghetto manager that is always rude said I had to talk to Drew. He stated this is not a friendship and threatened to put a tracking devise in my car. My car that I owed a random $80 dollars and was $6 days late on and only $2100 to pay off! We paid off the loan in full to never deal with them again, but when I went to get my car there was damage to my rear bumper and on the inside of my car. I immediately went back inside after seeing the damage and spoke to Drew and he told me that was not his problem because I couldn’t prove it, and he isn’t responsible for what happens by the tow company, and REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE.NAME OF THE TOW COMPANY AND THEIR NUMBER. After 20 years of business and 7 vehicles purchased ( 2 were Lemons but I guess red flags are my favorite) along with all of the friends and family we have sent to Ray Skillman, we will Never do business with them again. Customer Service has been getting worse with each purchase and had hit an all time low! I will drive a few extra miles to go anywhere else in the future to purchase my next vehicle. To sum this up Drew Skillman is a perfect example of why car salesman have the stigma, has horrible customer service, and the reason I will never do any type of business with the Ray Skillman dealerships!

Supposedly did safety check but backup light is out and I wasn’t told. Couldn’t get a good answer to what all was checked doing the safety check although asked several times. Still don’t know. Makes me wonder if a safety check was even done. Was called that car was finished and I asked the tech if my bumper had been aligned when wheel liner was put on. Tech wasn’t sure although it was on the paperwork and said he would check. When I arrived about an hour later, bumper was not aligned so I had to wait an additional hour almost. Also the screw was left off of the mud flap so I had to come back to have that taken care of. It’s unbelievable that someone didn’t see that. Hopefully all the screws are on the liner that I cannot see. For the minor repair I had, I just weren’t pleased. On a good note, the employees were friendly.

$8000.00 on there truck for the trade from the list price.. Bought many trucks from ray skillman I have never seen this in my life, I will never go back to ray skillman to buy any vehicle ever.That is the worst thing ever trying to rip someone off like that.

June I was interested in the new Trailblazers which were far and few between. Chris did not pressure me into anything I didn't want he kept his eye out for me and when the 2022 came in he was quick to contact me. My credit is not the greatest and he worked hard to get me approved for the Trailblazer that I wanted as well as creating a list of used cars that he thought I might be interested in knowing I wanted a car with low miles if I had to go with a used car. He also knew how important it was for me to have the car in my name with no cosigners. He put together a list and I found MY PERFECT car. I would recommend Chris to all my friends and family he was the BEST!! I will defiantly use him next time I am searching for a new vehicle. He was knowledgeable and did not pressure and kept his word and got me into the perfect car. Highly recommend visiting Chris for your next purchase.

New Whiteland IN she talk to a sale person name Daniel Kolley. at first he was friendly he took her to a desk and has her fill out a paper then he ask her if she had any money to put down she said she didnt Daniel told my daughter that he wouldnt be able to help her today, but to fill out this paper work. Daniel tone and whole attitude to my daughter 100% changed when he ask about money, what he did next was the rudest thing a sale person can ever do. while my daughter filled out paper work, Daniel with out saying a word to my daughter gets up. walked around the sale floor then take some people on a test drive. leaving my daughter at the desk. what kind of sale person does this. one that is not trying to make a sale to someone who doesnt have any money to put down on a car that's what kind. I have gotten two cars from a Ray Skillman one was from buy here pay here the other from a dealership and never was I treated rudely or disrespected in any way. Daniel had my daughter in tears and walk away with out a word. I wouldn't have believed this if I hasn't of been there to see it my self.

Equinox. About 5 years ago he helped me get into a new Trax and went overboard to make sure we were pleased.so when it was time to upgrade not only did I contact Rick again but I also brought my step-son and Rick worked with both of us, me a new Equinox and Him a new Trax. !!! Went there over a 2 week period left my truck for 2 days .. Matt Wine call everything fix..Pick up truck drove on post road turn around back in service 5 minutes tops,,,Then the bull s??? Starts.. Matt wine precedes to tell me I don't know how this works.. I asked to talk to the service manager and he was at lunch at 4 in the afternoon..( I ASK TO TALK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER 5 DIFFERENT TIMES OVER A 2 WEEK PERIOD RANGING FROM 7:30 IN THE MORNING TO 4:30 PM ALWAYS THE SAME AT LUNCH... My first time ever dealing with what I thought was a reputable dealership. I've had better service from the corner buy here pay here lots then this one. I understand with a used vehicle things can happen. They claim the cars are checked out and will offer special financing. Don't get sucked in like I did. Oh yeah for them it's a win win sale you junk with 36 months or so to pay for. Mine ran good for almost 1 year now I'm left with 2 more years on a vehicle I can't drive. Will continue to make my payments trying to build credit but will not be doing any more business with them. All I wanted was a decent vehical that served it's purpose and a chance to build credit. Well at least I can look at the vehicle maybe I can junk it after it's paid off body is decent.

I've taken my vehicle to this dealer several times to get the same problem fixed. Paid every single time because the four thousand dollar warranty they told me I had to buy on the finance department won't cover anything. Then today I brought my car in for a third time due to heater not working and was promised a rental car when I made the appointment. Of course, no rental car was available. Had to wait to speak to the service manager to find out why I was promised a rental car and now there were none available. He was very rude and suggested I get one from enterprise and for myself to pay half. Unacceptable customer service to make promises then ask the customer to pay for the mistake. If you would have told the truth, another form of transportation could have been arranged. I won't be coming here for service anymore and definitely will never buy another vehicle from Ray skillman

I had such a great experience with this dealership. I had bought my first car a year ago and it was always having things break. This dealership was honest with me, told me what we needed and was able to put us in a beautiful car at our budget !

manager told me that a certain person wood work on my camaro ss but when I took it in someone else was trying to work on n it. I told them not to and told them to leave it alone. When I finally confronted the service manager he stated that there was nothing he could do. And walked away. I will never buy anything from Ray skillman or have my car serviced there.
