Truck had a clean title but arrived with small dents and had body work done to one of the doors. My fault for not seeing it in person first but have had good luck with other dealers (Dave smith) while doing this. The real problem came when I was trying to wire the purchase amount Tracy in finance had a problem with wanting to send me a purchase agreement with out sending funds. Then after I was finally able to get that accomplished I was charged for registration and title as agreed upon in the purchase agreement on 2/27. I reached out on 4/9 to see when I should expect my title and registration and was assured by Tracy it should be soon since she submitted it to my states DMV. 4/29 I receive mail from LUMS with the title and registration paperwork that I filled out on 2/27 with a note to go to my local DMV to get it transferred in my name. I reached back out to Tracy and was told it was for a temp tag and they do not do registration or titling and I’m on my own. I’ve purchased many vehicles out of state and have never had a more difficult time dealing with someone in finance. My states law requires dealers to submit the paperwork when the vehicle is sold by a dealer and I guess Oregon is different? This fee not being refunded is about principle and when someone tells you something in writing then double backs and ignores what they just wrote is enough for me not to purchase from the LUMS dealerships and to recommend others don’t as well.

I was promoted to write a review after my experience with Dick Hannah Dodge in Vancouver, WA where I have for the last twenty years had purchased and serviced my vehicles there. After todays visit Lum has a customer for life here’s what happened today: I have spent the last twenty years at Dick Hannah purchasing various vehicles some disappointing service some good. Today Saturday November 13, 2021 I stopped by the dealership in the am Shawn approached my vehicle I mentioned that I did not have an appointment, however; my check engine light was on for two days and asked if they would have time to check the engine needed reassurance that there was no major problem for me to get back to Long Beach, WA. Shawn said he could get me in and the cost to look at it would mean a few hours and $175 for diagnosing plus costs for repair Shawn did mention it would be fine as long as the check engine light is not flashing. I did make it back to Warrenton, OR and stopped in at Lums Jeep dealership I spoke to the service department and explained about the check engine light they asked me to wait a moment then they can take a look to give me a diagnosis well guess what 15 minutes later I had the diagnosis and saw where the squirrels were eating my wires where #5 was misfiring made an appointment to bring the car back in for Lums to fix the vehicle there was no charge and no pressure in where I take my car to get it fixed. I live in Vancouver, WA, however; I will dive to Warrenton, Ir to have my car repairs done and purchase of my new vehicle. The difference? Dick Hannah’s moto is “Believe in Nice” Lum’s “Believe’s in service” This has not been the first time at Lums when I’m in town and needed to have one of my vehicles looked at they were always right there to help and at most no charge. Lum’s you have a customer for life!
