Stay away!

Went to pick up new Rv (Alliance valor 36v11) . The Rv itself has lots of issues, that’s for another day. They had 6 weeks to get unit ready. Here’s what we found when we arrived. 1- awning would not work 2- Generator would not start 3 No water to check pump and all the fixtures. 4- No gas in either of the tanks. 5- parked inside so you could not check solar system. 6- no water so could not check water heater. My assumption is that with the issues we did find there were others that didn’t want to disclose. Incompetence at its finest.

Bought a travel trailer in September of 22, wanted to

trade up for a 23. Paid 28,000. Was told it was worth 13,000 on trade! This was from the guy that sold it to us! And he laughed about it! I've had this for 2 years now, the Canopy Ripped and the pump doesn't work! I was told the warranty was only for 1 year( are you kidding me). Would I recommend these people xxxx No! This was for a 2022 Wolf Pup Limited!

Inquired about the availability of a specific new

motorhome in a particular size and floor plan. They did not have any in their inventory, so we located one at a Jayco dealer in Albany NY, (which is another story). We were told that any Jayco dealer could do the warranty repairs and it was not necessary to take it back to the dealer you purchased it from. Which is no different than a car manufacturer or any type of vehicle or equipment. Scheduled the warranty to replace a separated window seal in the camper that was leaking and remove a seal that either needed to be fixed or cut off in the entry door. After several weeks of not hearing anything back from them, I had to call several times, got their main operator and was told they would get back to me. Which they eventually did a day after I had called several times. When I went to pick it up, I was told I owed $275 for Diagnostic fees that they required seeing I didn't buy the motorhome from them. When I dropped it off and signed the work order, they also had me initial an area where they had written in that fee. Except they did not explain what the fee was for, and I had assumed that it was an hourly charge if they had to make any non-warranty repairs due to something I had done. So not only did they get my $275, but they also are getting paid for a warranty claim for probably a repair that cost less than what I had paid. This same motorhome that I had purchased in April had an issue with the generator not have any power to the starter right after I purchased it. I ended up taking it to Myers RV in Sayre which is closer to me and they could get it right in. They made the repairs needed and put in a warranty claim to Jayco with no fees charged to me. So Buyer beware that even if purchase a new Jayco RV from another dealer and need repairs, you will be charge a ridiculous Diagnostic fee starting at $275 even if it is under warranty from Wilkins RV in Bath. Whereas I am not sure about other Jayco dealers, but Myers RV does not charge you a fee. I only tried Wilkins service because they seem to have a good reputation and camper inventory. Because of our experience from the dealer we purchased from, we thought maybe we would purchase our next camper from Wilkins. However, they just helped us decide whom not to purchase a camper from.

I have been waiting over 5 weeks to have a couple minor repairs completed. Just scheduling an annual inspection means you wait weeks before you can get the camper in.

Bought a Winnebago Adventurer from them for around

$22,000.00 Fast forward and we were going to trade it in on a travel trailer. They offerred us $3500.00. No issues with upkeep or maintenance, we added about 1500 miles in the few years we owned it. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. I would not recommend buying an RV either. We sold this RV outright and while I hope the new owners enjoy it, I will never waste money on another one.

Do not buy from this dealership.

I bought a used fifth wheel. The landing leg is bent. This was a problem when I picked it up, but they didn't know what was wrong with it. A friend noticed the landing leg is bent. It kept blowing the fuse for the landing legs. I am trying to get this fixed and they tell me that I have to wait 2 months to get it in.

Took our Heartland Trailrunner in for a recall last week.

Said it didn't need part replaced. They did say that the battery cables were corroded and need to be cut off and replaced at a cost of 85.00. I I took pictures of the cables before I left and there was absolutely zero corrosion on them. They also recommended 900.00 total work in their "free" 12 point inspection they did. And 28.00 was parts, the rest was labor. Their service is terrible, we have never had a good experience in the bath service department. I actually dread having to take the camper there for service. And to top it off the recall was supposed to take 20 to 25 minutes. I was there for almost 3 hrs. Don't trust them.

Friends and family buyer beware of Wilkins Rv in Bath Ny.

This company is not the same company that my Grandfather and Father delt with in the past. They sold us a camper and once money was down and paperwork was signed the mentioned that the lien release was not sent to them yet. This started 2 1/2 weeks ago. Was supposed to take delivery last Tuesday then it was last Thursday. They rushed it through their detail shop that morning. When we went through their demo there was cobwebs in the corners bugs stuck in some type of oil on the ceiling vents and in all the light covers. They also wetted down the floor and closed the slides before letting it dry. At that point on Thursday we again could not take it home so we asked for that stuff to be repaired. Not sure that it was done I was so pissed today I ask for someone to unhook my truck so I could leave. I do not blame employees I blame the owner and President Brian Wilkins for allowing a unit to even be viewed before they had proper paperwork. Makes you wonder if they are robbing Peter to pay Paul. With only three days before the Holiday weekend I asked if they could bring it to my house so we can pack it they said it could not leave premises until that paperwork is there. So it looks like my family will be camping at Wilkins RV Bath New York. Stop by for a hot dog. I have heard that this is common practice at this location. End of rant thanks for listening.

Bought an RV there.

Sales were fine but Service was a nightmare. The motorhome was 3 years old and I asked for an oil change and a generator oil change. Sales. “Yes no problem”. Service didn’t do it. I was not happy. They wanted me to bring RV back to them, 1 hour to complete the oil change at my expense. I lost total trust in their service department. There is a complete communication breakdown from Sales to Service. Totally Disappointed.

We bought a travel trailer about three weeks ago.

Salesmanship and the quality control man showed us everything we need to know. They made it simple to understand. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They make you feel like they're not a big dealer and they're pushing not pushing you into buying something that you don't really need or want. They listen to you and they provide the best trailer that they can fine for you. I would publicly like to thank them for all their time and generous offerings. Please give them a chance and they will find a trailer that fits you like they did us.

I would give Wilken's RV no stars but that is not an

option. I purchased a Wulf Pup 17JG in late January of this year. I attempted to take delivery on March 26th. After the connections were made to my tow vehicle and the brakes were tested I left. A mile down I86 I was flagged down by a trucker. When I pulled over the brakes were smoking on both wheels. I called the dealership and the tech. was dispatched to my location. He assured me that what happened was "normal". He tried to convince me that I could make it another 50 miles home if he just adjusted the brake controller. I refused. To begin with I was sold too much RV for my tow vehicle. And this was a concern that I had going into the sale. Long story shorter I went out and bought a bigger tow vehicle that is rated at 7700lbs instead of 5000lbs. I came back to get the Wulf Pup on April 14th and was assured the brakes were fixed. This time after connecting up the truck the slide would not go out. One side would start to go out and the other would not. I was initially told by my sales guy Craig that it was just out of adjustment and service would fix it. After the service guy tore half the slide apart he said it was either a bad motor from the factory or a rubber piece that was missing. Either way 1-4 weeks to fix it. I talked to the General Manager, Jason, and said I wanted my money back. He refused. I wanted to upgrade then to a different camper. The only thing that they had was a new unit that did not fit my budget. I went to Meyer's RV and gave them my sad story. They treated me with respect and concern. I purchased a used 2019 RV from them and they gave me a decent amount of trade for my never ever used "used" RV. Today (April 15th) I came to pick up my Wulf Pup from Wilken's. It was 38 degrees outside and raining. No one came out to assist me or wish me well or anything. I will NEVER shop another Wilken's RV store and will share my story with any interested party that will listen. It is going on my blog, yelp, google reviews and anywhere else I can post it.

I'm 43 years old and have lived all over the country. My

experience with this dealership was by far the single worst experience I have ever had when it comes to sales, quality, and customer service. If I could rate negative stars I would. There is zero communication, zero effort from the staff, and zero care about the customer. There are a multitude of reasons I say this but I will keep this review to a minimum. While I cannot attest to the quality and service of the other Wilkins RV branches I will say DO NOT even attempt to think about doing business with Wilkins RV in Bath, NY!

Don't waste your time.

I filled out the form to request the price on a used 5'er. Here's the response. "Thank you for spending time with us on wilkinsrv.com and for your recent inquiry. To best serve you I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you to gain a better understanding of what type of RV will best fit your wants and needs and chat about our 2016 Forest River Work and Play 38RLSWD Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler that we have available! Often, with a quick conversation we can help guide you towards finding that RV you are looking for." It's been a couple days since I replied requesting the price again. Still no response.

won't do that again!!

My wife and I decided it was time for an upgrade, So we went looking for a reasonably priced, clean fifth wheel. we ended up at Wilkins found a reasonable priced Jayco that we fell in love with,.Upon sealing the deal there were a couple small issues that needed attention, About 1 hour worth of work and was told by Shane and Dave both they would make sure the repairs were taken care of. After calling Shane about picking the camper up I was told all they are required to do on the camper is an lp test and ny state inspection . After reminding him a couple times that he assured me this would be taken care of he finally said he would make sure it was done by Saturday so I could pick it up. Saturday came, I went to pick it up, upon arrival I was not very happy to see that in fact the repairs were not made and it sat in the parking lot with a flat tire. After 3 hours they managed to repair the valve stem and the refrigerator door handle. When we hooked up to our truck we realized the tail light on one side, And turn signal light didn't work on the other side as well as spare tire was on the bracket finger tight with one nut and no trailer brakes. After another round of B.S. they finally gave us some bulbs and my friend and I were able to get the lights working. Being a New York state inspector for 20 years my self I cant believe that they would take the chance of "slapping a sticker" on a 12,000 pound trailer and letting a "valued customer" take off on a 2 hour journey .It is my sincere hope that this is not common practice for this dealership because someone will get hurt. In closing do yourself a favor and shop for a camper elsewhere. New York state should be looking into this.

getting the run around

I want to warn you to look over the used camper very well before you buy it . I spent over 20 thousand on a used camper . The dinette has holes and cig burns in the cushions.they had them turned over when I looked at it .Also there is a patch job in the bedroom ceiling .now I have gotten a recall on my Freedom Express and I had a hard time getting an appointment for it . I had to call churchville and they got me connected with bath .Before this Bath kept saying the service man was busy. Now my trailer has been there since Wednesday night and nothing has been done to it ! I called at 10 am on Saturday wes told ann would get back to me , called 3 hours later was told the same thing . Jumped in my truck and went there only to be told by Ann (who didnt look over worked ) that oh she was just going to text me !!! She also said she had moved us around and put another unit in our place . I dont need my unit but isnt it good business to stay in touch with your clients ? I will NOT BUY HERE AGAIN !!! ALSO MY UNIT LEAKS BAD !!! TOOK TWO DAYS TO DRY OUT THE RUG AFTER TRAVELING IN RAIN !! THE SAYING BUYER BEWARE IS TRUE HERE ..

IT RAINED! IT LEAKED !

Purchased Hideout Camper at Wilkins RV , Aug 2019 was delivered it rained for two days after placement. We went back to the RV to stay and the inside was flooded. Went back to have Wilkins to replace the RV. We got the biggest run around ever. We did not want that RV as we had no way of knowing what the damage inside the walls, floor, cushions etc. that got soaked. Danger of mold, musty smell you name it. The RV was SOAKED. . They even doc us $2,000 toward a new purchased because it LEAKED. We only had it three days. Went to Meyer's RV in Bath received full refund on purchase of new camper. Lesson learned was warned not to deal at Wilkins RV. Wilkins would fix the one that we purchased from them in good faith, but how would they get the mold, musty smell and damage corrected. So be very careful when you purchase from Wilkin RV. GO to Meyers RV in Bath and go to your RV with peace of mind. Thanks to Meyers RV in Bath.

Well, I have to say following my last post on the Wilkins RV site, Brian, the owner got in touch with me right away, I took my camper to them as arranged and everything was repaired at no charge to me. I did wait for the new air conditioner unit but was kept informed of the progress at all times. Brian, Kenny, Ray and the rest of the team at Wilkins RV’s in Cicero were outstanding and I want to publicly thank them all for the great service. I have my camper back and am a happy customer. We all have days where we feel a bit off and frustrated, but I’m happy to say I am now happy. Giovanni Quattrone

Communication with Customer

I waited 3 ½ weeks for an appointment to get a quote for the replacement of one of the slide floors in my fifth wheel trailer. I took my trailer Wilkins in Bath and met Amanda Murphy my “service advisor” on 8/21/2019 so she could look at the work needed and take measurements. She told me I would have a quote either later that day or the next day. After a few days I left a voicemail for the “service advisor”. With no response I called and left a second voicemail for the “service advisor” the morning of 8/29/2019. Later that day my wife called and was told that an email would be sent to the “service advisor” for her to get back to us. The “service advisor” called on 8/30/2019 saying that she had called and left me a voicemail. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, although I had missed no calls and had no voicemails. She said she needed the VIIN for my trailer in order to get the proper replacement floor from the trailer manufacturer. I provided the VIIN as requested. Again, after hearing nothing from the “service advisor” I called on the morning of 9/5/2019. She was shuffling papers around trying to give me some partial information. I told her to email me the complete quote. I then checked that she had the correct email and she indicated that she would get sent that day. After receiving nothing from the “service advisor” I called her back on 9/6/2019 only to find that she was not in that day. I then asked to speak to the service manager who was supposedly in an interview. I left him a voicemail and he returned my call later that afternoon. I explained what had been going on and that I was getting tired of the lack of response from the “service advisor”. He informed me that he would need to look through the file at some of the information in order to get me a price. That was a week ago. It is now 9/13/2019 and I have heard nothing out of Wilkins. I cannot believe Wilkins considers it acceptable to ignore a customer, leaving them hanging. All it would have taken was a call or email from the “service advisor” to let me know what was going on. What I do know is that there are other RV dealerships and I will take my business to one of them. Not only for the service on my current trailer but for the purchase of its replacement.

Excellent sales and service

We purchased a used Sunseeker RV in March 2018 through Kreg Crooker, and we wrote a review back at that time and have appreciated his continued support. Since then we have brought our RV back to be serviced several times, working specifically with the Assistant Service Manager Ariel Orr, whose name is not listed below - and we would rate her for ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? (5 stars) and Mike, the serviceman who did the repairs. We have been over-the-top impressed with her professional yet personal attention to our needs. She and Mike have gone above and beyond our expectations, resulting in the issues we had being resolved. E really like part of a good family at Wilkins RV.

Six years ago my wife and I bought a service contract agreement when we purchased a 2013 Sunseeker. The agreement stated our money would be refunded, if we did not use the warranty before it's expiration date. We did not use the warranty and requested our refund. Within one month we received a check from Wilkins RV for the purchase price of this agreement. We could not ask for better service!

Great dealer!

Helen was a great saleswoman and Tim, who did our walk through, was very knowledgeable. All the staff on site were friendly and attentive. The facility was clean and the lounge was nice. We would definitely recommend this dealer to friends and family!!

Solid Sales and Service

We purchased a new Grand Design 2018 Solitude 374 TH from Wilkins RV in Bath several months ago. I waited this long to write a review because I like to see how the dealer handles post sales follow up and service – everybody feels great the day they pick up their new rig but it’s how they feel months afterwards that counts. This is the second coach that I purchased from Wilkins, the first one being a Heartland Bighorn from their Churchville location. As far as service goes, I use their Victor location because it is convenient to where I live and because I have always received excellent service from their service manager, Tim Henehan. So, to start at the beginning, I was totally satisfied with the sales and service out of the Churchville location when I owned my Bighorn. All the promises made by Mike Sullivan during the sales process were kept - the delivery had a few minor hiccups but those were efficiently handled by the Churchville crew and we loved that coach. When it came time to move up to a bigger model, we selected the Solitude and worked with the folks in Bath because that location is a Grand Design Dealer. Again, the sales process was seamless, and the coach was delivered on time and configured exactly as ordered. However, life is not a bed of roses and neither is the RV acquisition process. When the coach was delivered, I had a major issue with the tires provided by the factory. Without going into a painful amount of detail, I simply did not want the tires that came with the coach. Considering this is a three-axle rig, 6 tires are certainly no small order and the manufacturer seemed to be intransigent (don’t misunderstand – Grand Design is an excellent outfit, but this was one of those points where we had to agree to disagree). To smooth out the bumps, Wilkins stepped up to the plate (the owner, Brian Wilkins was personally involved), swapped out the skins and I picked up the coach – a week late but still smiling. The point of the above is simple – nothing in life ever goes as expected, especially when you are buying an RV (at least that’s my experience). What separates the good dealers from the lousy ones is how they handle the problems. You can have a major issue that upsets you, but if the dealer is professional, you’ll still be smiling at the end of the day. It’s great if you can save a couple of hundred bucks (minor change when considering the cost of an RV and the length of the financing) but when you need to have the dealer stand behind the product and they won’t because they are the “low price leaders”, you’ll wish you had purchased from a solid dealer. We shopped for this luxury coach all over the US and Wilkins pricing was extremely competitive, but still at the end of the day we chose to pay a couple of hundred bucks more rather than get the “low price” from a dealer who we would likely never see again in Florida. Of course, pricing must be competitive, but the “rock bottom” price rarely equates to the lowest cost. Minor savings often equate to major problems. To put a bow on this rather lengthy review, Wilkins has always done right by me, their entire team (sales, service, parts, finance) in all of their locations is superb and if you purchase an RV here, you can count on being treated fairly and honestly. We love our new Solitude and we feel very good about having purchased it from a top-quality dealer such as Wilkins. If I didn’t truly believe this, I certainly would not have given them my business a second time.

Great experiance,

This was the first time we have ever visited the Wilkins RV dealership in Bath NY. We had Gary Drum for a salesman and he was outstanding. No pressure to buy, took his time with us. Answered all our questions. The staff was excellent all the way around. Had a great experience. Randy In service was great, didn't miss anything. also went over all our questions. Although we had traded one in and were familiar he was sure to go over everything on the new one. Great technician! Would recommend this dealership to anyone. And yes we did purchase a new 5th wheel.

Very Customer Oriented

We purchased our 2017 Reflection from Jeff Lemen, who went out of his way to answer our questions and deal with our apprehension to trade in our old camper and purchase a brand new one (at our ages). He answered all our questions and calmed our jitters. We had no intention of trading in our camper until we brought it down in Oct. for winterizing and found it had some major problems. Jeff led us to a camper that fit into our price range and truck capability. Since we did not have time to unload our old camper in Oct., Jeff arranged for us to transfer all our camping gear from one camper to the other in the comfort of their heated bay and provided staff to help us. They even stored the new camper over the winter, put our cover on and de-winterized it for us in April. Wilkins goes above and beyond. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Jim and Nancy Smith, Geneva

Professional and very helpful.

Bryan was a delight. He put us at ease right away. He is very easy to talk to and there are no dumb questions for him. He was always available and made sure we were kept in the loop with everything prior to our purchase. He was very knowledgeable about our RV also. He was able to put us both at ease on our first test drive and it was great fun! We absolutely recommend Bryan Wise for anyone looking to buy a recreational vehicle. Ally & Stacey Mahopac, NY

Excellent Dealer

Purchase a 2017 North Trail from Jeff Lemen and Wilkins RV and they knocked it out of the park! Excellent service and extremely thorough! They explained every single thing instead of pushing you out the door. Everything was explained in great detail and the walkthrough of the unit was perfect. Every nook and cranny was explained! HIGHLY recommend!

A very pleasant and professional experience.

My salesman was Rich Mess and I found him to be very helpful. Especially due to some special adaptations I needed to have done to the RV. Everyone at the dealership was very helpful.

Too easy

Our visit to Wilkins was just that. We arrived with a list of "gotta have's" (we'd been looking alot and others just didn't have the list covered). Gary Dunn was friendly and courteous. He sat, listened and selected a few RV's for us to look at. We walked into the first, a Flagstaff S-lite, and we both went Ahhhhhhhh!!! Saw the second and they both had everything we needed. The first was chosen and the rest of the process was smooth as butter, from the sale, finance paperwork thru the delivery. Everyone, and I mean everyone, were great. They were knowledgeable, helpful and took the time needed for us to understand everything. Justin in service gave us a very thorough walk thru of the unit and all it's systems. They readjusted our hitch and installed a sway control in the mean time and it was ready to go by the time Justin finished educated us. Compared some other dealers we visited, we just can't say enough about this experience. Laid back, attentive, no pressure...you inject the positive adjectives and they will apply. Thank you again Wilkins, Howie and Linda Kincaid
