I am a new resident on the island and when I came to the dealership for a vehicle, I was welcomed and treated better than ever. I worked with Kristen Rinz and she was the greatest! She listened to my past experiences and we spoke of my past purchases from other Ford dealers on the mainland. After a short time she said, " let me bring something to you I think you will like" She brought out my F150 Lightning and I was blown away! After test driving the vehicle, I immediately knew I was taking it home. Kristen was attentive and caring of my needs. Once all the paperwork was done, she could have moved on to another customer. Oh no! Kristen took the time to help me sync my electronics, took time to show me all the details of my new truck. Once I had been educated on the features she made sure I was completely satisfied with everything! since I purchase the Life Time oil change, as long I have the car. Unfortunately, the issue with engine light on was never resolved since I bought the car in Sept 2017, they will fix it from 2018 through 2021, which still under warranty. To date 2025 in February , here comes the "engine light on " showing on the screen . According the Ford Service Dept, it will be additional charge to fix it . I reported this issue with NHTSA.

I had purchased 4-tires to replaced my F150-raptor tires through them. It took them almost 4-weeks to bring in the tires. I ended up paying another $693.26 to install, replaced, aligned, tire disposable fee, labor, and also charges me provisions and materials. I never realized in the past that this is there normal ways of charging customers. Well, I will definitely go somewhere else, like Costo to purchase and replace my tires for my additional vehicles. It is much more affordable. The gentleman who has helped me was great, it's not his fault that Ford Service department are nickeling and dime their customers. I will make sure that all my friends and families are aware of expensive service charges each time they do any type of service. Better not owning any Ford in the future.

The buying process was totally fine. But later the bank contacted me saying I haven’t paid for my Camry. I told them I traded in my car at the dealership and contacted Honolulu ford. Got the run around from them. One month goes by and the bank contacts me again saying I’m two months behind now. My credit score plunged and I still haven’t gotten any answer from ford. Also I still haven’t gotten my safety check from them and when I went there they tell me my tint is too dark. On the car they sold me! They are great when it comes to selling you the car. But after they get your money they don’t not care about you and will kept putting you off. Beware of Honolulu ford!! Terrible service!

ford stating that the maintenaince coverage needs to increase up to $19,185 from the lower cost of around $7-8,000, that was in the contract. I was going to return the vehicle with this bait and switch of costs, they did end up reversing the additional charges

suffered losing my last truck to a bank repossession in May 2023 but Thank God, only one year later, I now own a great 2020 Ford Ranger! Isaac Magofna helped me get financed even though I told him about my bad credit report. An excellent car at a fair price. Quick and professional service.

The issue is that I purchased a used jeep from them that need the O2 sensors replaced and the shocks were leaking. When I picked up the car I was told it was all fixed however later that day the check engine light came on and was throwing the code for the O2 sensors there were supposed to be fixed. The suspension was Fox suspension which typically runs $800-$1200 it was replaced with $155 dollar suspension.

Got everything i was looking for amd was priced fairly

Countless calls and messages not returned. Employees are overwhelmed to the point of not caring anymore.

Forgot temporary plates and scratched my window before I drove off. When I went back to get the window replaced, they somehow ordered the wrong window. Their surface care package made my car dirtier than when I gave it to them. The first time, I sent it back and they did it again. It came back better but still a trashy detailing job. Everyone I knew who saw it thought it looked terrible. The person who referred me to Honolulu Ford (a customer for over 20 years) was embarrassed and regrets doing so. I then took it to a real detailer who did a nice ceramic coat and made it look perfect, then requested a refund/cancellation of that package. When I went to bring the car in for the window replacement again, they did the surface care that I wanted cancelled and ruined my expensive real ceramic coat. Now after talking to management, they dont want to refund the surface care nor do they want to reimburse me for the damage. They also screwed up the window trim badly when they replaced the window… and its been 3 months since I bought and they still don’t have my license plates… what a messed up system.

Only reason I bought my used truck from here was because of the extensive research I did online across the island for best deal in my price range. Dealer was nice but delivered a bunch of false information/talked out of turn when it came to financing. Talked me out of putting down a bigger deposit to make my monthly payments cheaper. Truck wasn’t anywhere near ready for me to take home after signing, when I was told three times it would be. Then they were going to drop it off to me that day. No word from them. No truck delivered. Canceled plans to wait for it. Next day still no word until 11;00A after I reached out to them to see what was going on. They didn’t know when the truck would be done. Was told I’d be updated every other hour. Was never given any sort of update of when the truck was to be dropped off. Missed my niece’s fifth birthday party waiting for the truck. Finally arrives at 4:30-5:00P two days after purchase. The detailing of the truck was terrible. It still had surf wax on the side of the bed runners, sticky gunk on the back window, dirt and crumbs on the middle console/cup holders. I paid for a detail inside and out the next day out of pocket. Put it this way when I was leaving the dealership after signing the dealer said to me “oh no why do you look like that? You should be happy you just bought a truck!” Why do I look like this? Because my sales experience was exhausting and absolutely sucked. Again like stated, if I didn’t do my own extensive research of what I wanted and could afford I never would have bought a truck from here.

This is the 4th car we’ve bought here and will be our first choice for future purchases.

There was no pressure and everything was clearly explained to us. While it took a couple weeks to take delivery of the new car, due to some additional services it needed, after a rigorous road test. I feel confident the pre-owned vehicle we have now is fantastic.

worst experiences I’ve ever had with a car dealership. I have a 2021 Gt mustang that needed a recall and warranty work. The warranty work was for either a thrust washer or axel nut because the car makes a popping and clicking sound when putting it in reverse and drive. There is also a TSB out for this problem. The recall was done but the warranty work was not done. The “service adviser” Alissa informed me that because I had a modified suspension (lowering springs, vertical links, toe links and subframe support) the warranty work was not done. She said that they don’t touch modified things and that the suspension was making the sound. I informed her that the drive train was making the sound and not the suspension. It was making the sound 30 days after I purchased it and no modifications were done at that time. I informed her that I explained the TSB for the thrust washer and axel when I called to make the reservation for service. She said do you want to leave it here to get it looked at again but I doubt anything would be done because of the suspension modifications. I informed her I would take it somewhere else because I know have zero confidence in their mechanics because the thought it was the suspension when it is very obvious it is a drivetrain/axel problem if you actually put it on a lift and really inspect it. It’s sad because after the great buying I had with my brand new Explorer st I thought I had found a great Ford dealership. We are shopping for a new gt mustang for my daughter and it looks like I will be looking elsewhere. Stay away from their service department. Their mechanics are very incompetent.

buy the Lightning, he provides accurate and on time information. Eric is a new breed of sales associate in a business that is sometimes less than desirable. Eric is courteous, respectful, breath of fresh air and I would recommend him to everyone who dreads car shopping. Give him a call and you will be astonished by this new breed of salesman. It will be the best call you make for a Ford vehicle. Eric will not disappoint you! Try him and you will walk away very happy. Eric got me a great deal, even though I didn’t buy the Lightning. You may be asking yourself why didn’t I buy, I would have, but circumstances prevented me from finishing the deal with Eric. If anyone remember’s the financial crash of 2008, during President Obama’s time. All the big car makers took the government financial bailout and FORD did NOT! Buy American, buy Ford.

utterly disappointing. Not only did they fail to communicate any updates during my routine service appointment, but they also managed to break a part of my interior door handle and promised to fix it at my home, which never happened. The level of customer service I received was abysmal, with unreturned calls and empty assurances. It's regrettable that such a reputable brand would allow its service center in Honolulu to provide such a frustrating and unprofessional experience. I strongly advise others to consider alternative options for their vehicle service needs. In fact, I was so fed up with their service that I ultimately donated my car, and I haven't been happier since leaving Ford.

given a choice other than a 24 month lease. I feel a 36 months lease is better than 24. Left messages to speak to a sales manager and the Assistant Manager with no return reply.
