Lied before i even walked in the door

I really wanted to test drive the XC40 before I decided if I was going to lease or finance the vehicle so I signed up for a test drive with the dealer to have them call me and schedule, when I spoke to one of the sales representatives they said they would call me Back on Friday the 8th to set up a date for the test drive. The 8th came and went and upon getting a customer service survey on the 10th, I informed them that the salesperson just literally never called me back. The Customer service rep then informed me the salesperson stated he called me the 3rd, 5th, and 7th...in which place I never ever spoke to anyone about a test drive so till the 4th so this guy can see the future which is impressive. All my recent calls for those days show no such call ever was received and I would not be going into a dealership that lies before I even get into the front doors.

DO NOT GO THERE! YOU'LL REGRET

After a major incident and a lot of frustration with my first-time maintenance service there(7K/miles), I told myself to never go there again, but because the car needed a service and I had no babysitter at the moment, I had no other choice, but unfortunately to visit them again. Another big mistake. I had a scheduled appointment for today Feb. 14th at 9.30am. The vehicle ('17 Volvo XC90 T6) needed the firmware update, as well a scheduled 10K maintenance service. I had my two kids with me(1y/o and 3y/o). The vehicle entered their service facility and after all the paperwork prepared by Chris, I realized that I left my wallet at home incl. my driving license (oops..), so we had an agreement with the service rep that I'll go home and come back in 15min. Once back, I was directed to one of their cashiers who told me that the person who supposed to take care for finalizing the service entry paperwork is away and asked me to wait. So, we went to their lounge area. In almost 20min wait, I was told she's busy with another customer, so I kept waiting to just register the vehicle for service. Later on, I went back to check what’s going on and one of the cashiers who I guess was the one who supposed to take care for my car started yelling at Chris in front of everyone there to stop "doing this" and she stated that most likely she cannot have my vehicle for service and asked to wait again. So I kept waiting... After all the drama, it was almost 10.45pm. Chris apologized to me for her rude attitude. That same cashier was arrogant, disrespectful and honestly, I was just wondering how come such low-educated person is lucky enough to have a job at Volvo. If I was the manager there such species will be fired on the spot. However, I canceled the service disappointed and left home very upset. Last time the Manager asked me to change my 1st review about them, but this time, I will not be lured with their jokes like gift cars and empty words. The only ethical person there is Scott Rozany. However, I will never ever go back to Bay Ridge Volvo. These people will never see me again, because they discriminate, mistreat and disrespect their customers. Terrible customer service by arrogant cashiers, really made me think about Volvo's customer's loyalty. Volvo Cars America must know what kind of miserable service Bay Ridge Volvo is offering to its valuable customers and take action, immediately.

Worst Volvo dealers EVER!

Worst car dealer EVER! Never buy a Certified pre owned car here you will regret it! We bought a car last week and used it literally twice to drive 8 blocks the kids to school! The car broke twice! I won’t recommend this place even to my biggest enemy! Beyond dissatisfied and disappointed! Management don’t take any responsibility at all! SHAME ON THEM!

Good job

I have '17 Volvo XC90 and I love this car. Went to Bay Ridge Volvo for a scheduled maintenance service. After a bit of a drama, they thoroughly changed the engine oil and the annoying squeaking brakes. Received flowers for my wife's birthday which was a day after, including a gift card from the Service Manager which was very polite gesture of him. Going back on the road and...Bay Ridge Volvo. Thank you Anthony, Scott and Chris. Well done.

Great experience with Scott

There's nothing quite like the feeling of driving a brand new car off a dealership lot, so I ended up dealing with Scott Rozany from Bay Ridge Volvo. I was eyeing the new 2017 Volvo XC90 T6, which is a great vehicle. However, after a couple of days of emails correspondence with different car dealers, Scott actually offered me the best deal. Seriously, Scott was the best dealer, I've ever worked with. An outstanding human being who really cares about "The Customer needs", as well, absolutely transparent when it comes to number$. I wanted to get the Convenience pack, but it did't work out. Anyways.. Great vehicle choice, decent price and most of all great customer service provided by Scott who's on top of his game. If you want to get a Volvo, look no further, He will do his utmost to satisfy your needs. I have been thoroughly impressed with the time spent and the dragon patience he had. Well spent money. Thank you Scott.

Exceptionally poor ans inadequate service.

I had two encounters with Bay Ridge Volvo service department, both of them were very unpleasant. During my first visit, for scheduled maintenance ans software upgrade on of the interior panels of scratched with a screwdriver or some other sharp tool, they forgot to reset oil reminder computer and my loaner smelled like ashtray. On my second and last visit ever to this place, while picking up my 2016 XC90 I noticed front passenger door was dented and scratched. Not only the did not washed the car before returning it back to me, exterior was stained with motor oil or some other grease (in my experience with other premium brands like Audi and BMW i would always get the car back clean). I was told that I have to come back to discus this matter with service manager. When i came back a few days later after waiting 30 min for the guy because he was late, I was told that stuff like this happens and usually they are not responsible for any damage, but because they are such nice guys they will do me a favor and fix it for me in some shady body shop that is not part of Volvo service. When i asked if i can fix it the shop of my choice he refused. I told him that i don't feel comfortable leaving my car with their shop or any place affiliated with them. These people have no respect for customers cars and time. I will never go back again.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you Leroy!!

I just got a 2017 s60 from this dealer. Leroy Henderson demonstrated great customer service. He had some much patience with me. He never made me feel like I was getting on his nerves even when I couldn't decide on which car I wanted. He helped me to get the best deal possible.

I'm repeat customer & recommend Scott Rozany

I got 2 Volvo S60 T5s from this dealership thru Scott Rozany; 1st one for 2 yr lease & 2nd one for 3 yrs. He's the best! He's very honest, nice, understanding, & intelligent guy. He doesn't try to sell you. He only helps you get into the car you want, at the best price. I didn't deal with any other employee here at Bay Ridge. Also, like to add: I further certify that I am not associated with a dealership or service center or Scott Rozany; just faithful customer

Grossly incompetent and feed you with misinformation

If I could give this dealer negative stars, I would. After spending a couple of hours at the dealership and not even offered a test drive (didn't need it, because I had test driven the car elsewhere, but still!) I settled on a particular car and gave them a down payment. The salesman was not very knowledgeable of the particular model Volvo, as well as his own inventory! I had to find the car myself by browsing through their website and tell the salesman that the car I wanted was available. All this happened on a Saturday and I requested I pick it up the coming Friday... A couple of days later I changed my mind and asked for a different color and to pick up on Wednesday, as I had planned a trip to Montreal from NYC on Thursday. Shouldn't be a problem, since they have the car in stock, right? Well, turns out it wasn't as simple as that. First of all, it takes them a day to respond to my request. Then they tell me they will call me Wednesday morning to confirm. Nothing. So I call them to see what is going on. I told them I have a long trip ahead of me and asked if the car will be available for me to pick up, but they said the earliest would be tomorrow, Thursday. OK, that works for me, as long as it's early in the morning and I can get going on my trip by noon. "Well, it'll be around 11:00," they say. My question is, why can't it be there at 9:00, especially since time is of the essence for me? "We don't have all their cars on the lot and most are at an offsite facility so we don't know exactly when the car will be in." Seriously?! They DON'T KNOW?? How difficult is it to get a car to the dealership from a facility 5 miles away?! In any case, it is now Thursday morning and I'm waiting for a call. Again I had to call them to find out what is going on. I spoke to a different salesman and asked if he could check on my car and whether it was there and he tells me that "the Volvos don't come in until after 4:00 pm. Anyone who told you your car would be in in the morning gave you the wrong information." At this point I demand to speak to the salesperson I was dealing with originally. He tells me the car will be in by 2:00. OK, I guess I can still salvage my trip, albeit I'll be leaving much later than I would have wanted. So I get to the dealership by 1:30 to finish up the paperwork. By the time we're done it's 2:15, but still no car. My salesman says he'll try to find out and disappears for half an hour. He comes back saying it should be coming in giving me some lame excuse about traffic, etc. I decide to be a bit patient with them, only to find out at 3:15 that it will be another half an hour before the car is in. Needless to say that half an hour later there is still no car. I demand that my salesman track the car down and give me the exact time it will be at the dealership. Again he disappears for another half hour. It's now 4:15 and a different salesman comes over to tell me that the car is still not at the dealership. Not only that, but that even it was, I wouldn't be able to pick it up that day, because it requires 2 hours prep time and their service dept closes at 5:00. And that's the first time I'm hearing of the 2-hour prep time! Needless to say at this point I'm fed up. My trip is shot, I have to cancel my hotel and pay a cancellation fee, and I'm cancelling my car purchase with BR Volvo. So these guys lied to me and created the expectation that I would have my car in the morning, when all along they knew that wasn't going to be the case. And did that knowing that I had a long trip ahead of me and needed to leave as early as possible. In other words, we don't care if we inconvenience the xxxx out of this customer and ruin his plans, as long as we sell him a car. I wouldn't have had a problem if they had told me the previous day that there is no way that I would be able to have my car in the morning. I could have cancelled my hotel and not incurred a fee, or gone to another dealer. But to create the expectation that I would have my car and to continue to raise my hopes that "it should be in any moment" when all along they knew that wasn't the case is downright shameless. And the fact that they can't get a car to their dealership from their offsite facility on demand, nor know the status of when it will arrive is downright incompetent! Bottom line: stay as far away from this dealership as possible. They are a disgrace. Rather than trying to accommodate their customers, they expect their customers to accommodate them. If I'm ready to spunk $50K+ on a car, I expect to be treated, at a minimum, with respect and not be lied to. They didn't even have the decency to refund me my hotel cancellation fee, a charge that I incurred because of their misinformation. I did end up getting the car I wanted from another dealership that very same day, and I had a wonderful buying experience. I am an idiot for going to Bay Ridge Volvo in the first place.

Disappointed

Took my car in to fixed the rear camera and speakers that were under warranty. Did not get my car back for a whole week despite being told it would take 24 hrs. The camera still wasn't operational despite being told that rear camera was fixed. Furthermore, the people who work there are completely unprofessional. The guy who delivered my car from the garage was eating half a cantaloupe in my car was he was driving it to me!!! Drive the extra distance and avoid this service center AT ALL COSTS!

great experience

When I called to inquire about a certain certified pre-owned car they had listed on their website, I was given an appointment to fit my schedule. When I came in, I was lucky the salesman assigned to me was John. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and customer service oriented. My first impression was that he was not the typical dealer "out to get you", and I was right. Although he is an able salesman, he was fair to me, addressed my concerns with the car, and was reasonable in adjusting the price to accommodate my (legitimate) concerns about the condition of the car. I was not pressured into anything I didn't need (offered, but not pressured). The financing, paperwork and insurance went smoothly (although I used my own financing from an online bank, which was not the kind of procedure they are used to dealing with everyday). The car was ready on the day I was promised, serviced, detailed, paper work complete, and even with the radio stations set! Thank you John for making my car buying experience a pleasure!

An Amazing Buying!!!!

I, have been purchasing vehicles, as long as 1982.Since,1992 I have only purchased brand new vehicles. So, I'm not a novice in this industry. Bay Ridge Volvo has been one of the best buying experience in my life. Sometimes purchasing a car can be a very "horrendous experience". Some dealerships can make you feel like you're Poker with the Devil,Not At Bay Ridge Volvo Let me gladly explain to you why Bay Ridge Volvo was an amazing buying experience, which other dealerships should embrace! 1) I submitted, my interest in the certified preowned 2013 Volvo XC 60, I was immediately contacted by Jessell L. the Internet specialist. She was very professional, and connected me to the right salesman Scott R. The Internet specialist is a very valuable position in today's market. 2) Scott R. One of the most professional salesman I've come across in this industry. He fairly honored the black book value of my vehicle, I got a excellent deal on the Internet price without any games... Everything was done within an hour... I was able to purchase several accessories, without feeling like a baby seal... Great job Scott!!! 3)David G. Finance Director one of the most honest sincere individuals I've come across. David obtained my loan very quickly without any hidden costs.... I felt totally confident with this individual, did not put any pressure on me at all, unlike other dealerships. The above three individuals are winning combination for Bay Ridge Volvo, they were the determining factor why I purchase my vehicle there. These individuals set the bar for Internet buying! This is why it was an amazing buying experience!!!

4 Hours and counting

This dealership is the pits!!!! I had an appointment at 5 for an inspection and to change all 4 tires on my car its now 9:36pm and I'm still waiting!!!! After waiting 4 hours to get my car back I drove off and luckily for me my intuition kicked in and I pulled at the side of the road to check the inspection sticker and it still had the old 2016 sticker!!!! I am livid had I not double checked I would've gotten a ticket for expired inspection thanks to bayridge volvo. I'm so disgusted by the inefficiency and lackluster customer service. If you can stay far away from this place!!!!

I would have never bought a volvo if it wasn't for the smart and very understanding Gali balter. She was the biggest help finding me a car, she did what no other sales person would do. She explained me everything over and over again no matter how annoying I was on all the questions she took her time to explain me everything I needed to be comfortable to buy this volvo, I would 100 per c entry recommend seeing Gali balter in volvo great experience! !!

Good experience to start, then a nightmare

Test driving was a breeze, but then when we came to a deal and shook hands on it (Fouad Fares), he started removing things and backing out of the deal within 5 minutes. We agreed that the worn shifting knob and broken headset DVD headphones would be repaired/replaced as well as they would include mats for the rear. After shaking on it, he removed the mats. He then added another part of the deal which would be for us to have to finance through them for at least 6 months (he had stated there was no prepayment penalty earlier). I then still moved forward with a deposit a few days later which he said was refundable, but now that I have backed out of the deal (things just seemed too shady plus I am able to buy a friend's car now), they are insisting that I will get none of my deposit back. I now have to go through my credit card company and possibly the civil court system in order to try to get our $500 deposit back. Also, of the many Volvo dealerships I visited this is by far the smallest and least organized of them, but perhaps shouldn't be held against them since it's Brooklyn and commercial real estate space is likely at a premium.

Excellent Customer Service: David Gokhshtein & John Rotante.

I would like to commend the outstanding /excellent service provided by Mr. David Gokhshtein in getting my new XC60, for that I am grateful. As a Finance Director he went above and beyond providing service, the communication and treatment is like a family smooth and comfy. He guides and personalized the needs of his client and have them decide freely (from the favorite color, features, accessories, and financial aspect) which is an excellent factor that makes a buyer feel comfortable of the car and less pressure in choosing and deciding. The best Financial Adviser I ever met. Mr. John Rotante is excellent in helping although out the process of getting the car, he is very patient and excellent and makes sure that I know all the details and functionality of my new car. He follows up with the me the next day after the car was picked up, making sure that all is working well and the gesture is highly appreciated. (Please have John’s Photo available in the webpage). Being with Bay Ridge Volvo since 2004, this is our third car with them (SC40, XC90, and the latest XC60). They also provide the best service in maintaining the car and I always mentioned in any survey the greatness of my 11 years Volvo Adviser (Service and Parts) Mr. Nelson Morales he is the best. Bay Ridge Volvo is an excellent team. Thank you. Sincerely, Fe

John Rotante went above and beyond in my purchase of a new XC60. Terrible experience so far! My xc60 was towed in 48

hours ago and I still have not received any word on what is wrong with the car and what work it requires. C'mon! Really? 48 hours and no one has called to discuss the car? When I called the first day Robert told me he thought the car would be ready that day. I informed him that if it wasn't done I would need to pick up a loaner for following day. I called again and was told they hadn't even looked at my car and there were no loaners available. Day 2: I called in the morning and was told no one had looked at the car yet. I told him I would need to pick up a loaner car. He agreed to it. When I arrived at the agreed upon time I had to wait over an hour. Robert was rude and when I requested information about my car his response was to display aggravation. I'm still waiting after 2 full days to find out any info. Is this normal? These guys are in over their heads! They obviously can't keep up with the demand. Customer service is definitely not a priority! I would think twice about leasing a Volvo again. This service center is impossible to deal with!

Just bought my 3rd Volvo from this dealer, after fleeing

the creeps at Manhattan Volvo. This time was quite a shocker. My 2010 XC70 was vandalized in a private parking lot at JFK, SafePark (the ultimate joke). It was electrocted and declared a total loss. The parking lot denies responsiblity of course, luckily GEICO paid for a new car. The service guys and sales guys at Bay Ridge Volvo were great throughout the ordeal, especially Nelson is service and Scott in sales. I am now in my new S80 T6 and could not be happier. By the way, their service department is open to midnight most nights and you can get the best pizza in NYC a couple blocks away.

But i remembered a gracious e-mail from Scott Rozany who wanted to "earn" my business. And he did!!!! I went back to them, Scott did everything he said he would do, should me a range a vehicles, and then sold me what i needed. I was never pressured or felt as if i was being over-sold. The business manager David Gokhshtein also worked a financing miracle for me, so a deal well done! I appreciate the efforts of Scott Rozany and highly recommend him and his team!

I would like to share my experience with Bay Ridge Volvo,

I stopped by a store on Sunday afternoon during a drive to get an A/C at a local Electronic superstore. I was in the market for a newer car, but wasn’t in a huge rush. At the store I was greeted by Fouad Fares, who first listened to my need, and then took me out side to show their Fleet of certified pre-owned-! (Yes Certified there is simply no Junk out there, you won’t find a car that older than 2006 and not under warranty, also you won’t find cars there that are not in presentable condition, no smell, noise or other time wasting experience. I wanted an SUV, but landed my eye’s on a 2007 Volvo V50, good design, look great and fitted my needs. Immediately took a test drive,++ a big plus that it was offered right away++ , liked the ride and decided to go with purchase. My biggest issue was getting approved for a loan, my credit is awful, with multiple issues that most bank’s won’t even try to approve. But I was assured of a long time relationship of this Dealership with many banks and a day later I got a call that, an approval was a go ?, big APR, but it happened. At contract signing, my payment was exactly what I was expecting (not the other way around), and I have to say that Fouad was really great at being calm, nice and very helpful. To summarize this with one word of description----Professional!!! I recommend them to everyone who is looking for a Volvo Max , Brooklyn, NY

I went there searching for a good deal for a used Volvo

car, with little money in my pocket, and fair credit report....I found Mr Fuad Faris there, who were a very nice professional, experienced, and honest man to deal with. He spend long time with me listining to me carefully and understand my whole situation, him and his manager Mr. Cruz they contacted many banks to get the best deal for me,and they got a good deal for me that no one of my friends could beleave. I am sure I will return to him again in the future once I can afford bigger and newer Volvo.

Fares was very likeable and pleasant to work with. We

needed to trade in our vehicle and get into a new lease in a hurry, and he made it possible.

I came from Wisconsin to be buy a used Volvo XC90, as the

price was so much more competitive. Throughout the process, Fouad Fares was exceptional. He gave me all of the information that I requested, and made me feel comfortable in making the decision to buy this vehicle. When I flew to New York, Mr. Fares and all other employees were extremely helpful and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend purchasing with Bay Ridge Volvo, and especially Fouad Fares.

THE FIRST TIME I VISITED BAY RIDGE VOLVO, I HAD A NEW

EMPLOYEE WHO TOOK ME OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE & WAS QUITE PERSONABLE , FRIENDLY & HELPFUL.HOWEVER, SINCE HE WAS NEW &STILL IN TRAINING, I DID NOT GET ALL THE ANSWERS I NEEDED TO MAKE A DECISION. HE RECOMMENDED COMING BACK AGAIN WHEN SOMEONE MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE COULD HELP ME. THAT TIME , I MET WITH FOUAD FARES, WHO ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS IN A VERY HONEST & FORTHRIGHT MANNER.WE TEST DROVE TWO MORE VEHICLES,AND HE WAS QUITE PATIENT WITH ME. HE WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN THE VEHICLE I WANTED WITH THE COLORS I PREFERRED AS WELL AS ALL THE FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS. THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE WAS ESSENTIALLY THE SAME AS ANOTHER VOLVO DEALERSHIP THAT I VISITED. IT SEEMS THAT I HAD A CREDIT OF $1,000.00 OFF THE STICKER PRICE OF THE VOLVO SINCE I HAD PURCHASED A HONDA ACCORD A FEW YEARS AGO FROM BAY RIDGE HONDA.I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS CREDIT WAS AVAILABLE & WAS VERY IMPRESSED THAT THIS WAS VERY HONESTLY POINTED OUT TO ME. FOUAD FARES IS A VERY CAPABLE, HONEST, & KNOWLEDGEABLE SALESMAN WHO WAS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH.

The overall atmosphere at the dealership is friendly and

professional. They show a great respect for their customers. The fact that the general manager came to greet me personally and that my sales specialist showed great amount patience and attention to all my inquiries and questions made me very comfortable about my decision to purchase a vehicle at the dealership.

Had to have my car towed into this dealership after

hitting an enormous pothole on the New Jersey Turnpike. While the work was finished to good standards and in a timely fashion, the car was returned FILTHY inside and out. In addition, I had accidentally left my daughter's birthday gift, an expensive watch, in the car. This was stolen by the dealership employees, and the dealership claimed no responsibility for the theft, despite the fact that I had no choice but to be towed to this location as the closest authorized Volvo service center. I wouldn't recommend, nor trust, this dealership.

WOrst Volvo Dealership period. When u bring your car in

WOrst Volvo Dealership period. When u bring your car in for repairs, they only want to REPLACE things and never fix anything. Then charge you triple the fair market price. Oh theres also the 130 fee just to tell u whats wrong. ONce u hand over ur bank account, and they supposedly fix the problems, u start driving the car and notice a new problem that wasnt there when u brought the car in. They will then proceed to tell u that this had nothing to do with what they did, and give u a new figure to pay to have that repaired. ADVICE: find another repair shop. Where you will get cheaper and better service. My recommendation: Volvo-repair-nyc.com

Great experience. Rotante helped me through the lease of

a 2011 XC70 quickly and honestly from start to finish. He took the time to walk me through the pros and cons of the XC90 vs the XC70 and I know I made the right decision. He also followed up with me over email a few weeks after I walked off the lot just to see how I was enjoying the car. (The rest of the crew over there was great as well - particularly with my financing/warranty questions.)

I had a great experience at this dealership. Everything

about the vehicle and finance options was thoroughly explained to me and nothing was omitted. The sales rep, John Rotante, was also very accommodating, as I had changed my mind about some purchase options a few times. Highly recommended!

Terrible attitude. Attempted to drop my vehicle off for

an oil change. The price listed on line is $79.95. They were actually going to charge me $100. "The price online is incorrect". I was told. Also, I asked a favor to hold my car for four days as I was traveling of town. I was told, "this is not a parking lot". Which of course I understand, but as I learned, its not what you say its how you say it. Finally after declining the service, an employee attempted (best I can describe it) to drive my car out of the shop, he stalled it twice. I stood in front of the car until someone else removed it. Bottom line. Go somewhere else. They don't care. Just ask their service manager who told me to take my business else where because I used profanity when the employee couldn't drive my car out. Really, I was treated terribly so unfortunately I cursed. Get over it.

THIS IS THE WORST DEALERSHIP I EVER SET FOOT IN !!! NOT

ONLY ARE THEY TERRIBLE WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE - THEY ARE FLAT OUT LIERS ! DONT EVEN THINK OF DOING ANY KIND OF BUISNESS WITH THIS PLACE. i WAS NOT THE ONLY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. WHILE I WAS IN THERE, ANOTHER CUSTOMER WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE !!!!!! AND IT SEEMS TO BE AN EPIDEMIC THERE WITH ALL CUSTOMERS- JUST READ THE REVIEWS !!! I called in advance to see if they had a waterpump in stock and to come in to pick it up. they not only assured me they have it .. they quoted me a price that was 25 percent higher, which I was more than willing to pay, than other local dealers in the same area ! I was there withing 45 minutes ( the time it takes me to get there) . As soon as I arrived and asked to speak to anthony ( same fellow) who spoke to me on phone ... he " claimed" the part was "just sold" to their service shop to repair anoher car ... I was furious, as I was NEVER told they had only one in stock, or even offered to accept payment via credit card and have it held for me..... it seemed like they make their customers come in pay for parts and THEN order them !! outrageous to say the least ... you get better stocked shelves at ur local pep boys ... it is a shame they even carry the name VOLVO !!!! this is not even the first "scam" dealership i encountered in NY .... they offeredno opologies, courtesy discount for a future order , etc. they merely said we can get it the next day... pay for it now, or dont and come in again tomorrow and take ur chances. needless to say i was not willing to take another chance and drive 45 more minutes for another scam !!! another lady had the same issue while I was there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the supervisor as well as the other employees there were rude ............... NEVER again will i set foot there ... needless to say - another 45 minute drive to another volvo dealer , my pump was purchased for 20 persent less and excellent customer servise from a very informative representative ... !!!

The first time I went to Bay Ridge Volvo was for the $

150.00 alignment of my wagon. The steering wheel was tilt way too far to the right instead of slightly to the left. I was unhappy and I went to a cheap local shop and they fixed it my way (paid from my pocket the extra $ 120.00). Recently I had a heat core damage and had to return 3 times to get it done the right way, it kept leaking and loosing coolant (of course every time I had to pay for the extra replacement parts, Volvo Bay Ridge never looses). Do not ask me why I went back to replace the oxygen sensors when the check engine light went on! Since then it is the 4th time I have to go to Bay Ridge Volvo because the check engine light keeps going on every other day. Of course every time I have to pay out of my pocket for some extra replacement parts that are damaged and are causing the check engine light to go on. In my opinion Bay Ridge Volvo is expensive and not worth the money.

Charged for braked that were not replaced. Charged for

tire rotation that never happened. Have had a water leak through the sunroof which Bay Ridge Volvo has failed to fix 4x. I have a V50 - other owners beware. There is a catch (net like) at the end of the drain hoses. These need to be clipped so there wont be a backup of materials and the pipes can drain properly.

These guys are great... Great customer service on the

sales side, (could possibly be a little more product knowledgeable, but they find the answers) Service area is amazing, They are open til midnight, there are TVs, Internet and a kids play area in the customer lounge. I was going to say they are a little slow, but I must mention that I came at 7PM on a Thursday with no appointment, and I was out in 2 hours for a warranty repair, so maybe they are actually pretty fast...

I purchased a 2008 V70 through the Costco program.

Costco referred me to Bay Ridge since there were no NJ participants. John was was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I had the Costco advantage, buying at year end with new models about to arrive, and a Volvo incentive program in place. Thus, I had greaat timing and didn't feel like I had to push the great deal I was already getting. Still, John was a gentleman, responsive and he went to extra lengths to get us the color we were looking for. At other times of year, I think one would get a very fair price with John, and certainly an very good experience. I very much recommend John Rotante and Bay Ridge.

having been a customer of this dealer for the last 3

years, i took my volvo v70 for a 90k miles service. at the time of dropping the car, i was asked if i had noticed something else that needed to be reviewed. i told Mr. Perez that one of the brake lights was not working properly. also told him i have noticed a noise in the front right wheel, specially when riding over a bump. Besides that, i wanted him to check the car's shift to see if was working at its optimal. he tried to charge me $105 for diagnosis of the noise; and $105 to diagnose the status of the shift. after seeing his prices i asked him not to diagnose anything, and only do the 90k mi. service, and brake light. When picking-up my car, i noticed he was trying to charge me $870 instead of the $579 pacted for the 90k mi service, and $50 for brake light. we argued, and he took the overcharge out of the check. when leaving, one of the mechanics told me that there was a problem with the brake light. i came back and talked to Mr. Perez. who said he will credit me for the work. at the same time, right in front of me two of his mechanics opened the brake light compartment, took a light bulb they supposedly had put in before, and left the light socket empty and closed the compartment. so i told them that it was not acceptable for them lo leave the socket empty. they did not listen my complain and left. Mr. Perez also did not care, and there i was left with my car without a brake light. I left the shop wonderinging if -after paying $611 for the 90k mi. service, it has been done properly.
